The Mail is banging on about the importance of "free press", forgetting it was Channel4 who broke the Rennard story, and ITV who broke Savile. Both regulated broadcasters.

Yeah, maybe The Mail will break the story about paedophiles & child abusers in the Thatcher & current government? (one of the names on the alleged leaked Elm Guest House list still sits on the front bench)

Somehow, I very much doubt it....

The whole thing is still a cover-up. It's the establishment trying to save face. That is the nature of the beast.
Thankfully, the people can see right through them....

Get real you the establishment is MPs, The Mail, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph all attempting to reveal a coverup.

In fact the hacking inquiry has shown you can't more establishment than Rupert Murdoch and The Sun. :)

    Bleh, they are just mouthpieces.

The government/PM, Royal Family/Queen, mainstream press, mainstream media/tv, etc... just mouthpieces, figureheads, puppets... all part of the propaganda machine.

The real people behind ""The Establishment" will do anything, and I mean "anything!", to hold on to their wealth & power.

And if that means covering up scandals and passing the buck on to some has-been celebs and dead politicians, then so be it.

But hey, we shall see. Maybe all will be revealed.....

    And maybe not...

As you know so much about the mysterious 'Establishment' you must live your live in constant fear?

You might not have noticed, despite what you say this thread has heavily relied on stories that appeared in the main stream press as far back as the 70's & 80's. Strange but true.

By the way is being a member of the 'Establishment' heredity or can people buy their way in? Is it only open to people who have no family values, who would not find it objectionable if their partner was raped or their children sexually abused?

Was Geoffrey Dickens friend of Margaret Thatcher part of the establishment or a mere propaganda mouthpiece?

Trust you don't get a stiff neck looking over your shoulder looking out for the bogie man. ;)

No. I'm just not naive, gullible or one of the sheeple.
You know nothing about me whatsoever, so please don't ever assume you do.

Geoffrey Dickens handed his dossier to someone whose name is on the alleged leaked Elm Guest House list. And look what happened there....

In the meantime, here's a jolly little video from 1993 that was just as relevant back then as it is now:

Now then, now then*, someone's uploaded an interesting video.

    *sorry

I just saw this - is there any significance to the necklaces shown in the photo of him with Princess Anne? (http://youtu.be/OFlgwAWVwtk?t=1m26s) I think I've heard him mention the wishbone one but don't recognise the other one. It just caught my eye as they may be symbolic or something? or perhaps not... that photo of him with The Beatles seems rather sinister too - ugh *cringe*

I feel kind of creeped out for being interested in the story in the first place, its like some kind of car crash TV (not in an entertaining sense at all, of course) or some-such, you don't really want to know or watch (because its quite depressing and horrifying) but yet you do, sort of? its quite hard to believe what happened when you think about it... im in a strange phase at the moment because im not sure what to do about my own issues, I can only imagine how disturbing this has all been to people directly involved :( pardon the yak...

It's hard to see. From a distance it looks like it could be a design based on the Eye of Horus.

The People had a headline about an MP high on viagra groping women in Parliament. I think we are on the verge of seeing some very famous members of the establishment being arrested and destroyed.

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health.

Hmmm...interesting. I thought the gold necklace he had referred to as being a wishbone - it was the other one I wondered about, the one with the white background. The photo is too small/not clear enough to be able to see much though. It just caught my eye for some reason...

Let's hope that David Cameron does the right thing and lets the Police take/arrest those who are behaving in this inappropriate manner.... unlike Tony Blair back in 2004...... when he issued a 'D' notice to protect the pervs in his cabinet/government. -

Well Bliar was a shabby liar and control freak who let MPs practically do what they wanted so long as they supported him. I think if this gets out that he's been protecting sex offenders, this will be a huge blow to him, but I think over the next few months a few very well known politicians could be arrested, just as high profile entertainers like Jim Davidson have been arrested.

Dreadful, if not disgusting, that he did not admit to his sexual conduct immediately because victims suffer further abuse when not believed.

Article in the observer where the question is asked 'why the delay'? One reason given is that the abused have the right to come to terms with what has happened to them in their own time, and when they are ready. Often they come forward when they realise they are not the only one.
