ED where are the reactions?

What's the point of these big episodes if the characters act as if they could care less?
- The Sharmas - have we seen any reaction from them? Today was Molly's birthday and the only person who remembered or seemed to care was Chas. Wasn't Jai/Declan's daughter killed when her car was his by another car. You'd think Jai wouldn't be a fan of people who drive recklessly.
- The Dingles - just like the Sharmas they don't care about Gennie or Debbie's involvement in her death. Chas is the only one still angry and who hasn't forgotten.
- Jimmy - Did we see a reaction from him besides when Chas broke the news to him?
- Where is Brenda?
What are those massive repercutions Kates Oates likes to talk about. It's not Emmerdale but Idontgiveashit-dale. It makes the characters look callous and heartless.
