  No that definatly wasant it, I don't think I dreamed it. Yes - take out the Medieval part - it doesn't make sense.

  Found it thanks to your link Stevie. I was completley wrong it was not stone age, it was the iron age.
  
  It was called Surviving the Iron Age. It was on BBC way back in 2001, which is why I couldn't remember much about it.

  James Lamont you beat me to it. I think there was also a survivng Saxon Times as well. They sometimes repeat it as a schools prog in the morning.
