From the training, it's not clear to me that Abbey's paso will be so far ahead of Sophie's rumba to make it a no-brainer. Ditto Patrick's VW and Ashley's waltz.

I'm not saying that I think Abbey and Patrick will be better but I do think the judges favour them so unless they really make an obvious hash of their dances I would expect the judges would put them through.
I think it depends on the dance, doesn't it? From the training, it's not clear to me that Abbey's paso will be so far ahead of Sophie's rumba to make it a no-brainer. Ditto Patrick's VW and Ashley's waltz.
The better dancers always get a later slot for ratings purposes. If you put all the big guns on first everyone would switch off after they've performed, plus it makes the rest of the show a damp squib.
Blackpool was a good example of this method in action.
I was quite surprised to see Ben in the dance off even though he was bottom of the board. I thought he was getting a very strong vote, obviously not as strong as I thought.

Not until the final usually & I can't see that changing.

I think it is more likely to be:
Patrick v Abbey
or even (but less likely):
Ashley v Abbey
exactly.
Im not saying it will be!
Just wondering who the judges would pick IF it happened
