Yeah, both have it installed and can play in games with each other on our own accounts. Neither of us even have a PS3!

Actually considering getting FC4:Gold on the PS4... After a quick look around the shops it's not bad when compared to picking up the disc version plus pass, and I prefer playing stuff off the hard drive. But a 39GB save game?! WTF?!

Does Far Cry 4 have a PS3-PS4 upgrade like COD?

Must admit I was wondering about that, too... How do we find out?

ETA: AH! COD was a cross-purchase title, silly Sony, haha! Looks like that's not the case with FC4, unfortunately...

Embarrassing sale tbh. The only genuine "deal" was The Last of Us.

It will be a cold day in hell before digital is the future of gaming until the huge price discrepancies are addressed. At best they are equal to the physical media - at worst they are huge rip-offs.

January sale starts tomorrow apparently. Hopefully it's a lot better than this one.

We were probably spoiled by the sales and promo last year, to be fair...

Wow, what a rubbish 11.5 days that was (0.5 was for TLOU).

    http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/12/23/holiday-sale-final-week-sees-more-games-movies-discounted/

The US store's last weekly sale:
    Black Flag PS4: £16
    Ground Zeroes: £4.50
    Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil: £25
(Saw GTAV on there for like £18, but it's the PS3 version, bah)

Not amazing, but better than the EU 'deals'.

Rubbish 'deals'. Would have bought the last of us if I didn't own it already - but that's it. Was tempted by far cry 4 - but it still wasn't a 'deal' - could buy the disc version for about the same.

Oh well att least thanks to Sony for saving me money :)

Meanwhile on amazon - some games reduced to £25 which is where my money is going - LBP3, the crew and unity.

I like how in their January Sale, they have games cheaper than the super duper special 48 hour only deals, someone really dropped the ball this year at SCEE.

No one dropped the ball (and it was no different to last year), the January sales are supposed to contain greater discounts. This is the case at pretty much every retail outlet around the world.

So it's ok for a game to be on 48 hour special for 12 quid, then 3 days later be on offer [for weeks] at 10? Not cool IMO.

Bought Peggle 2 earlier on when the sale went live.

Can't access now as it has a lovely Padlock symbol on the launch icon and I am greeted with an error code when I try to launch it.

Nevermind. Seems the PSN is partially down.

This is becoming a fairly common problem.

It's Christmas Day. Hundreds of Thousands of new owners all registering, logging on and updating over a 24hr period is going to put some additional strain on the network.
