Since I'm away from home without a TV (home-sick:( are ITV trailing SITE much on the main channel? Does anyone know?
Re: Robbie's post I don't think SITE will beat TVUK (since it was pulling in 8m last year) but I think it will put a dent into it. My prediction is 6.8m for TVUK and 5.5m for SITE.
And this show on before TVUK Now You See It is a clip show with You Tube videos. Now I suspect something like this (like YBF) would be below 3m on ITV. Will this differ on BBC1?

Thanks Mark. Its certainly promising that they are hoping for a 5 year story arc. I hope its good and rates well. I suspect with something like this ITV are primarily looking for fantasy dramas that will sell well abroad (re: DA) and rate at lest over 5m+. The overseas sales I think will be the biggest effect on whether its recommissioned or not if the figures are average.
In regards to ITV pulling The Wonder Of Britain. Are they reacting to the drop in shares last year and looking to psh it back up by pulling flops? The article that was interviewing Crozier suggested he's looking to improve shares in 2015. In 2014 flops were just left in the schedule (Edge of Heaven) , so I hope this is a turning point.
Yes but entertainment shows are lacking on all channels it seems with very few decent ideas around.
They are taking more risks with drama, thankfully, which means next January we get Beowulf in the Saturday or Sunday slot. That will be one interesting clash vs The Voice.
I think they should focus away from light entertainment unless something obviously brilliant comes along and look to more comedy on Saturdays - and drama of course because at the moment we seem to get tons of light entertainment crap commissioned just because there's nothing else.
It would be nice to see ITV try something different on a Saturday night. With their current raft of drama productions, could we something like Family Fortunes, Beowulf, and then a sitcom like Birds of a Feather finishing off with Jonathan Ross ?
All those shows have a repeat value and overseas sales as well (excluding Family Fortunes). Is this the future that ITV want to try - lots of quality drama which rates well here and then sells overseas. Shows like XF and BGT have limited repeat runs on ITV 2 and then thats it.

Had this copied and pasted into word waiting for Part 63 63 threads is crazy!
I agree. It's why I hope Ninja Warrior works for them as it's a brand new show and one I suspect might have a reasonably big budget. If it does it could encourage them to focus less on revivals.
I don't mind the revivals so much when they're very different to the originals, like Stars in Their Eyes and Through The Keyhole. But ones like Surprise Surprise are just like the originals so they are more lazy.
It's a better way forward I think, meaning hopefully less useless entertainment shows put there for the sake of it.
A drama/comedy/chatshow run on Saturdays would be refreshing and as you say the dramas will have potential overseas value. This is the only way I think to get away from the staleness of the talent shows and keep the schedules turning over nicely and hopefully only putting out entertainment shows that are quality rather than just anything . At least this new Krypton Factor style game show sounds promising.
Beowulf and Jekyll and Hyde is a great start to refreshed weekends - let's just hope they rate well otherwise ITV will feel burned again and go back to dross.
The timeshifts will be bigger due to clashes but Silent Witness will take a hit. It struggles when against other crime dramas.
Overnights TV published this.

Just to clear up the CBB number on Friday 10 January 2014, Attentional originally gave the timeslot for the main show as 21:00-23:00 and an overnight rating of 2.06m (9.7%) exc +1 / 2.20m (10.4%) inc +1. Hence DS gave those figures.
However in a late change apparently missed by Attentional's tape-checkers and not even reflected on at least one FM's EPG, the main show in fact ran 21:00-22:30 and averaged 2.54m (11.3%) including +1. CBBBOTS afterwards scored 1.08m (7.2%) inc +1.
So BBSpy is correct and DS should really correct their articles for the sake of future reference.

Trust me we're going to need it 😉
Revivals are fine even if they are like the original but ITV have taken it to extremes as it seems if its all revivals and then we dont have to think of anything new.
Still think TVUK is going to be down though.

I think Ice dragon1 was referring to the volume of comment expected, regardless of how TVUK rates.
With Kylie gone, the show facing potentially more formidable ITV competition than Splash! was last year (plus in the same genre), and audiences generally in decline, I think there is little doubt that the launch show's overnight average is going to be well down on last year's 8.4m/35%.
It should be the other way round with Hill disappearing into the dressing room and never being seen again IMO.

Shame April to July 2009 is missing. I really wanted to see the thread's reaction on the insane ratings Britain's Got Talent got during the Subo period. We hadn't seen ratings like those for ages
Celebrity Big Brother was seen by an average audience of 2.16 million (9.4%) at 9pm on Friday (January 9) evening.
The Channel 5 reality show peaked with 2.25 million (9.8%) at 9.45pm. Celebrity Big Brother: Nomination Face-Off followed with 1.78 million (8.8%) at 10pm, while Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side dropped to 838k (5.7%) at 10.30pm.
Earlier in the evening, Channel 5's Race to the Pole was seen by 317k (1.5%), while Ice Road Truckers played to 791k (3.4%).
ITV's 9pm showing of Benidorm was once again the evening's highest-rated show outside of soaps with 4.44 million (19.3%) viewers. It was preceded by The Martin Lewis Money Show with 2.88 million (12.7%) at 8pm.
The One Show kicked things off on BBC One with 4.09 million (19.7%) viewers at 7pm, followed by 3.59 million (16.4%) for A Question of Sport and 3.38 million (14.5%) for Room 101 at 8.30pm.
The Musketeers would go on to entertain 3.64 million (15.8%) at 9pm, while The Graham Norton Show wrapped things up with 3.51 million (25.4%) at 10.35pm.
Over on BBC Two, Great British Garden Revival was seen by 1.18 million (5.5%) at 7pm, followed by an evening high of 2.28 million (10.1%) for Mastermind at 8pm.
Viewers dipped to 1.73 million (7.4%) for Food & Drink at 8.30pm and 1.66 million (7.2%) for The Big Allotment Challenge at 9pm. The 10pm showing of QI finished the evening off with 1.58 million (7.9%).
The return of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown was Channel 4's most-viewed show with 1.91 million (8.3%) at 9pm.
It was sandwiched between Jamie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast and The Last Leg, which attracted respective audiences of 1.33 million (5.8%) and 1.15 million (6.3%).
Agatha Christie's Marple was among the most popular multichannel broadcasts, reeling in 524k (2.3%) at 8pm.
I thought the mods managed to open up all the parts for inspection?
Decent for live noms! Probably around 1.9m with +1. It was practically live feed as live noms only lasted like 8 mins so the first 10 mins was probably above 2m.
EIGHT YEARS! is crazy!
