I was born in April 1982. During the Falklands war, the woman in the next bed to my mum in the hospital's husband was in the Army and had been sent there to fight.

All my life Ive been told 'Ohh you were born during a war'. My Auntie still tells me how she was watching a 'Falklands War Report' at the exact moment my dad phoned to tell her I'd been born. It also has aniverseries around milestone birthdays'. So when I was ten it was a huge thing, and then the 20th anniversary and so on.

God am I dreading five years!!:D

I was born on the same day as Prince Harry, so we both have exactly the same age. That's it!

I was not born on any significnt day that I am aware of, neither were my children, but each time I have been pregnant there has been large world events or disasters:
Nov 1989: Berlin wall came down & Hillsborough.
1992: Signing of the Maastricht treaty
Sept 1994: The Estonia sunk with the loss of 852 lives.
    Sept 2001: 9/11
    Dec 2004: The Tsunami

After a quick Google, on my date of birth:

Jimmi Hendrix recorded "Lover Man" Nope, I've not heard of it either!

    Thora Hird became a grandmother!

and Derbyshire played Yorkshire in the Cricket Gillette Cup Final.

In more earth shattering fashion, a couple of months before I popped out man first walked on the moon and a few weeks before, Woodstock.
