The fact he speaks with such confidence in his tale of woe, presumably expecting people will accept it willingly, makes me sure that he, and the organization as a whole have been treated with absolute kid gloves, tea & cakes, nice lunches, friendly chats, by the government. No doubt, they are the 'go to people' to consult with, to 'promote understanding', 'community cohesion' and 'cross cultural communication'.
Wow. Reading about this guys background blows a big hole in the theory that British kids run off to join IS due to feeling angry about poverty and lack of employment opportunities in the racist capitalist west. It appears he came from a well-to-do family and held a good degree and a good job in Kuwait.
