From the BBC press office :

Film premieres on BBC One include: Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Wall-E, Shrek The Third, Cars, Bee Movie, Enchanted and Chronicles Of Narnia 2 – Prince Caspian.

Digiguide is currently showing Shrek the Third as BBC1's Christmas Day film in it's provisional listings.

Final listings will be announced on Tuesday.

Surprised Wall-E is already on terestrial tv, its barely over 2 years old, usually minimum of 3 years unless it's a British film.

But what demographic looks forward to 2-3yr old mainstream American films anymore?

    The minority BBC-viewing demographic apparently.

The BBC needs to start pulling it's finger out or it won't exist in ten years.

What on earth do you expect them to do? They can't possibly afford to pay for the premiere rights.

Sorry to ruin your post but these are only provisional schedules.

At the moment in the provisional schedules EastEnders clashes with Coronation Street so that is very likely to change as are some of the films.
