is there a machine on the market that will do the same job as a DVD/VHS player? i want to transfere all music from cassette to CD ,is there anything on the market that will do this?

You might have to end up copying from cassette to your computer, then from your computer to CD.
i acturly put this on another part of the forum as well,wasn't sure at 1st where to put it,i think i know what i am looking for now,a divice that looks very much like a walkman with a USB divice added to it,all for around £50
One thing we can be sure about which part of the forum to put it in - not the part which is solely to do with high definition televisions.
yer that i kinda figered in the end:)
