Yep. Glad they didn't give-in and award it to the Swansea manager.

Alan Pardew phone in on BBC radio Newcastle now. Few points so far

1 Basically says Guthrie will be gone in Summer
2 Simpson has been offered a good deal but he is wanting more
    3. Has told Williamson and Taylor they need to score more and they will be under pressure in the new season as he will bring in another CB and has a young player lined up who may challenge them too
    4. Confirms Ba does has a release clause and they are trying to negotiate a new deal with him. Pardew said he thinks he defiantly would be gone if we didn't get European football this season

I'm just listening to it now actually (well catching up on the whole show but....

    1) I believe what AP said on Guthrie was that he wants first team football and if he wants that he'll have to go. Ball in his court.

    2) Anothet chap who I think will be on his way. Bring in Pieters and move Santon to right back. Sorted. ;)

    3) Bit Harsh on Taylor has he's been crocked for half the season. :D And Willo is trying. I wonder if Remi Streete is the young chap he's referring to although I do know the Toon are taking on trialists recently. :)

    4) According to AP the issue is not about money, there'e truth and untruth in the clause. I don't think Ba is going anywhere but it's still sucks that other teams (Harry Rednapp :p) throwing the spanner in the works by talking about such things.

I need you to get 3rd, so either Spurs or Arsenal miss out on the CL spot. Then all we have to do is beat Bayern Munich so either Spurs or Arsenal miss out on the CL spot.

    Easy, huh? ;):D

I think you'll win, probably with Cisse scoring from his own box, Spurs drawing conceding a 103rd minute own goal and Arsenal losing when a chicken, squirrel and cat combine to divert the ball in at the Hawthorns.

    Would sum up the season.

I don't think both Arsenal and Spurs will win tomorrow. I would settle for 4th but I think third is a tall order.

It is a good vid. You've been a revelation this season. My Number 1 son is a NUFC supporter (oh, for shame) and with that in mind i wish you better things next term.

Good luck Toon Army! Remember if things don't go our way, be encouraged because we're in the Europa League. :D

To paraphrase your former manager, "I would love it, if you qualified for the Champions League, love it!"

I hope you have more luck attaining your dream scenario than by the looks of things we will get today.

A very well deserved reward for Pardew - Hodgson's replacement in waiting.

A shame we don't have a 'Chairman of The Year' award - I'd love to see you buggers up there swallow Ashley swanning around with it. :)

    Dream on! :p

And as for the Ashley comment, he's been getting some well deserved praise even if you can't get over the mistakes he made in the past. He's finally starting to do some good things for Newcastle.

West Brom 2 - 1 Arsenal, Spurs still winning 1-0.

    edit - Everton now 2-0.

We've never came from behind to win this season.. I'll take 5th place  and Spurs to get 4th, Chelsea to win Champions league and I'll be happy! :D
