Even with the rain that's still a thrashing :p

the official result was 78 runs as they needed a revised target of 158 in 16 overs and threw away their wickets in a poor chase

Quite misleading due to the rain.;-)

Yes, if there was a Duckylewis target then the reply, even though losing wickets, could have got close.

As for India and looking for the first flight home, just wonder how much of the iPL preys on their mind. Couple of million for playing 20 overs, a few grand for 5 hard days on English seaming wickets. The game's gone mad.

When I lived in Glasgow in the 80s, someone once pointed a woman out to me in the street. "You see her? She's Frank Haffey's AUNTIE!" The curse extended to the whole family.

    OUTSTANDING...!!!

Of course, one must feel sorry for FH, but when a total welting gets the "opposition" turning on each other, it's all the more satisfying.

Spotted during the women's curling in the Winter Olympics this year:

    Canada 9 China 2
    China 11 South Korea 3
    Great Britain 12 Japan 3
    Great Britain 12 USA 3
    South Korea 11 USA 2

And, of course, those games ended well before the final end so could have been much worse!

But they wouldn't have gone to the final end - it's considered bad etiquette in curling if you carry on playing when defeat is inevitable.
