This guy is a better actor than the lead guy.
To be fair, so was the tree he was leaning against.

    So far!

Impressive opening though imo. Most of the first series was time wasting, I hope this pace and seriousness continues.

And Medea? Doesn't she end up having a thing with Jason? ;-)

When they met it was murdrrrrrrr. :D

I know the producers and writer also worked on Merlin, but why does the script sound like random off-cuts from the Merlin production floor?

I wonder if letting that lad go will come back to bite them on the arse......or save the day!!

I get the sneaking suspicion we're going to see him again :D

He is probably the prince of Persia.

Have to say, though, Jason is starting to rock some excellent Harry Hamlin Perseus Clash of the Titan hair there.

His acting is equally wooden too.

In what world would he, dressed like that and being who he is, beat a proper soldier?

It was a very small arrow and it hit him in the behind, what a lightweight.

There's a very profitable drinking game in this. Drink every time you hear a line taken direct from the Merlin script. I guarantee you will be blotto before the end of the episode.

You've gotta feel bad for them. They spared the only soldier in that entire army that could shoot straight. Talk about bad luck!

Find wood in a cave? Apart from using Jason's acting, that doesn't seem very likely...

It's no good, darker and grittier appears to mean duller and dafter. I'm out, show's a dud and this time I'm done for good.

I tried to like it, I really did.:(

I have to admit there was a quite an improvement. Pacing was much better, the stupidity has been toned down a shade and it is at least watchable.

But, the scripts are still poor, ideas cliched and the lead just can not act. Without him the show might have a chance as the scripts could improve & some new ideas could be injected with additions to the writing team.

But what can you do if your lead turns out to be a hopeless tree?
