Why do they give people with really thick accents jobs answering telephones.
Thank goodness, I thought it was a Kentish/snobbish/elderly person complaint of mine.

I know what you mean Gemo, I havn't watched coach trip for 3 years now, apart from when they were in Greece, but even then, I FFed through most of it as nothing had changed. I still watch CDWM but often don't persevere through the week if I don't care for the contestants...
I never watch CDWM, and blow me yesterday I happened to click on it, with a 39 year old and a 68 year old kissing at the dining table. And the other two diners being embarassed by it. Seemed harmless fun and made me laugh the 68er made me laugh too by how relaxed she was generally.

I agree - I like my own choice of music, but since I started to work more from home it's the spoken word that I miss the most. My default setting is Radio 4 and I change or turn off to suit.
Ha ha - would've been a better plotline than some of the ones they had. I quite liked Eldorado, in a Crossroads kind of way:cool:
Radio 4 is a way of life for me. Apart from women's hour, Gardeners ?time, which i am still boycotting, and the Food Programme. They all have to be switched off.
I 'm going out on my bike to watch the non existent stars to see if I can see anything real and interesting . oh I can't I haven't got a bike helmet and the risk assessment man has gone home.

Later I'll be on tweeter to see if there are any real and interesting web casts from jay or Faye .

Or I'll just sit here and eat these gammon steaks with egg and chips having a real and interesting convo with Fluffers who is real and interesting.

Ace, Balders, very funny. LOL and again LOL.

Randomly , does anyone remember Aztec bars ?
Yes, while serving in the League of Friends canteen, (psychiatric hospital) a girl mumbled her requirement to my father. My father looked perplexed and called over to my mother sotto voce "Chris, over here, please, this girl wants some of those feminine things" My mother went up to the girl who repeated her mumbled request. "certainly "says my mother, "you want an Aztec bar, that will be 12p, please".:D:D (My poor father, he couldn't say the word, let alone touch a packet of tampax).
    Phew back to kruling

They knew they could make it a winner or they wouldn't have jumped in.

CBB is just to keep the interest going in the periods when BB isn't on, BB is only 13 weeks which is one quarter of a year so they need CBB to fill in, thats why they want 2, one for Autumn, one for winter and BB for the summer.

    Come on be real.

All my files and docs that i want to keep handy in a folder on the puter i start with A - file name.ext so they are all at the beginning in the directory, i have thousands of files but some need accessing very often.

I am all for people posting as they wish but i am naturally surprised at this link, as it is to a work of fiction which Hicky claims to not watch, not be interested in because it isn't real and says that acting isn't a proper job, its just pretending and why would anyone want to pretend be someone else anyway.

Have just checked if I need to rush out and fill up with petrol before 6pm, but i understand it is not one of the things that has been rushed through.
I am now mystified, I may be getting child tax credit reinstated, so what is my contribution to the financial crisis?

O, now I see, I have got to pay 7% stamp duty the next time I move. O well, that seems fair.

Where is everyone? Oh , I know, buying **** before 6pm, is that it?

Indeed, where is Rhys. He was due home at 3.40. He was in the bathroom for 3/4 an hour this morning. Is it a girl?

    Don't watch ads.

Got 7pm Escape to the country.
    7.30 Watson & Oliver
    8.00 The Fishermans Apprentice.
    9.00 The Apprentice.

Went to a local Chippy in New Brighton for a takeaway Chip supper, had it in the car parked up.

The fish was smaller that their normal size so they gave you one quite big + another not so big, it goes without saying there was no way i could eat them both, brought one home but don't think it would keep for tomorrow, shame really.

    Tried to rescue my quote.:D

My question would make a lot more sense if people understood the workings of heating and Air Con.

It is usually understood that if a house/room is hard to heat when a heater is on and the losses are usually through the window glass or bad fitting frames or through outside walls that let the heat escape to the outside.

The same goes for Air Con which is a lot more expensive to use than heating.

If the Air Con isn't able to reach the setting of the thermostat then either the unit may burn out or it will never shut off, this could be either because the thermostat is set too cool or the warm air is getting into the house/room by some means which is hindering the cooling, this hindrance will be very expensive if you have to pay the bill yourself.
