Suggest for what? I honestly don't understand what you are asking...
How Sky can cater for Irish viewers, while continuing to show the games that are of interest in the UK (such as Stoke v QPR).

During the year there are many many instances [particarly mid-week matches] of matches kicking off at the same and sky broadcasting a match like Stoke V Qpr and any one of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea would be playing maybe even a big enough match without the match being broadcast here... its a different territory, they can broadcast whatever match they want but they just decide not to and mirror UK matches.

Within reason - Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are by far in away the most supported teams in Ireland and outside them teams there is in reality very little support for the others, They are the teams that get viewership here and are the teams that want to be watched live for the massive amount of money that we have to pay [You have to remember we have 3 separate subscription broadcasters to pay making it way more expensive then the UK].

Of course other matches might be worth a look especially coming to the end of the season but during the season that's what RTE's Premier Soccer Saturday/Match of the Day is for.

No one's forcing anyone in Ireland to subscribe to three channels, and if they do so presumably they get more matches to choose from than they do if they just sign up for Sky. So, fans living in Ireland get to watch more matches than fans in England, so long as they are willing to pay for it.

It sounds like Sky have rights for both the UK and Ireland, and the other Irish channels are able to pick up matches not shown on Sky. So, I'm not sure Sky would be able to choose different matches for the Irish audience. Clearly the Premier League prefer the current arrangement. I'm not sure what more/else fans in Ireland expect.

Yes they can, Ireland is classed as a territory outside the UK with separate rights going out to tender, say if Setanta won all rights it is them that would decide what matches to broadcast, some matches would have to be mirrored when there is only one set of teams kicking off because for some stupid reason all matches are not made available to Irish broadcasters but there is many instances like mid week game weeks where there are loads of matches kicking off at the same time.

The rights packages correspond to the UK rights. So the only time they could, in theory, show a different game is in midweek rounds.

But in practice, they still won't do it - why should they spend more money on a different production to cater for what is a foreign audience?

Just 33 matches more then the UK, We are the only country in Europe that have matches limited, all matches are available for broadcast across the continent except here... its totally unfair.

The reality is Setanta are completely broke and ESPN had to be offered free with sky sports because people just didn't sign up... three subscriptions for such a small amount of games is disgraceful, BT will soon launch here and will soon learn that people just can't pay to watch.

Foreign Audience?? :D... you can't be serious....We pay as much if not more then our UK counterparts... they make enough money out of us to "cater" for us. In any case it would just mean relaying the world feed, production would not have to be an issue.

If you're not a foreign audience, then you don't need to be catered for separately. If you are a foreign audience, then Sky shouldn't waste money on showing different games in a foreign country when the rights are mirrored anyway.

Sky don't have midweek games from next season, so then there would be no possible room for showing different games in Ireland. Setanta have the 3pm games and Sky can only move one game into each UK TV timeslot. They can't move 2 games to Sunday 4pm and say we're showing one in Ireland and one in the UK (not that they would want to).

You would swear we don't pay about €54 a month to watch SD sky sports, €16.99 for Setanta SD and whatever BT want us to pay .... you would be thinking that we could see the games we might actually want to watch like any other country in Europe.

No note on any broadcasting rights there, I wonder if it is outlined at all in the current contract anywhere?

If not, what is the possibility of it ending up elsewhere?

    PL Statement
    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2012-13/may/venue-chosen-for-premier-league-third-place-play-off.html

Villa Park has been selected as the venue for a third-place play-off between Chelsea an Arsenal, should Sunday's results leave the two clubs level on points, goal difference and goals scored in the Barclays Premier League standings.
In order for a play-off to occur to determine which sides finish third and fourth, Chelsea must be held to a draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and Arsenal need to win at Newcastle United by a single goal while scoring two more than Chelsea. For example, if Rafael Benitez’s side and Everton share a goalless draw, Arsenal must win 2-1. If Chelsea draw 1-1, the Gunners must win 3-2 and so on.
In this eventuality the Premier League has made arrangements for a single match to take place between Arsenal and Chelsea at Villa Park on Sunday 26 May 2013 at an early afternoon kick-off time to be confirmed.
For Barclays Premier League table click here>>
Tickets will be allocated equally between each club and will be priced at £30 and £20 with concessions for children and senior citizens priced at a 50% reduction.
The Premier League has consulted with the two clubs throughout the process of planning for this potential match with all parties in agreement that, should it be required, it should take place as soon as possible after the end of the season.
Discussions with London-based stadia did take place as part of that process but limited availability and calendar restrictions, combined with the desire to use a large capacity ground that has experience in organising and delivering neutral matches, rendered Villa Park the most suitable choice.
Further information, including ticketing details, will be disclosed by the Premier League and the two clubs on Monday 20 May should results require the match to take place.
The teams who finish in the top three places in the Barclays Premier League automatically qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League group stages. The fourth-placed team is required to play in a two-legged play-off for the right to play those group stages.
Premier League Rule C.14: If at the end of the Season either the League Champions or the Clubs to be relegated or the question of qualification for other competitions cannot be determined because 2 or more Clubs are equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, the Clubs concerned shall play off one or more deciding League Matches on neutral grounds, the format, timing and venue of which shall be determined by the Board.
The Premier League would like to thank Aston Villa for their cooperation in this matter.

It has the Champions League final on the 25th and the Championship play-off final on the 27th.

And no, it wouldn't be like the times the three play-off finals were on consecutive days, because the different events have different requirements.

I'd be interested to hear where people think they were supposed to have it? They weren't exactly going to use Griffin Park were they!

But hardly in a state for hosting a football match.
    White Heart Lane?
    Stamford Bridge?
I think Arsenal might object to the latter ;)

White Hart Lane holds 6,000 fewer people than Villa Park. I'd also guess it's not easy to configure as a neutral venue, given that it hasn't hosted an FA Cup semi-final since 1988.

Villa Park is always the preferred non-Wembley choice.
