There's more, I saw someone driving a Ford car, oh yeah and they were in Piccadilly Circus the other night and they made absolutely no attempt to black out the huge neon advertising signage - I'm going to email my MP right now!!

    On a live broadcast OP?

You should ring up their complaints line. They could probably do with a good laugh.

I'd like to see this thread in the Broadcasting forum.

The amount of serious replies would be a hoot to read :D

Maybe the BBC should have a recognition system so that even when something is being shown live, if an offending product name is being shown in the background, it will automatically be blurred out.

It used to make me laugh in Open All Hours. The products were easily identified. One ep had a tin of Heinz Beans on display with the word Heinz blanked out but everyone could tell it was a tin of Heinz Beans.

I was watching Football Focus last night and the laptop had a big Windows logo on the screen!

You'd have thought a big company like the beeb would have their own desktop image and screen savers etc.

Well, they couldn't exactly do the usual and say "Other bookshops are available" could they?. We don't appear to have any other bookshops now.

I remember on Blue Peter when they were using a cereal box to make something they would put masking tape over the brand name but you could still clearly tell it was Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
