    That is a lot OP.

There are two people in our house, and mine is on approx twice a week. If I am having a spring clean and doing the curtains / shower curtain / cushion covers then of course it is more.

By the time you separate colours and include bedding and towels, It all adds up.

I do sometimes if im doing bedding and towels for instance. But for general clothing ? Does your washing machine have a small drum ? I know I can get shed loads into mine.

As a side topic, how often does everyone rinse out the food trap on your dishwasher?

Ours gets used about 6 times a day. I got the angle grinder out and cut one of those granite rolling pins in half and attached it to the top. The wife calls it Rocky Dildoa.

My clothes have never been cleaner.

Good for you - if you can't beat them, join them.

We expect a full report come close of play.

I have just spoken to the missus and she informs me that the washing machine is used on a daily basis.

Now, what are you going to do with this information?

I always wash my hands after I've done the washing up, so does that count? :D

3 of us here (1 adult, 2 kids) and we don't have a washing machine... My washing goes to my mum's once a week and is dropped back the next week. She only ever does laundry at the weekends, has always been that way since I was younger.

If I need anything washed desperately then I hand-wash it.

Maybe the OP will start a spread sheet / pie chart and post the results on here, or perhaps I might send the results to the Daily Mail so they can write an article about men who let their wives do all the washing.

A spreadsheet or pie chart sounds like a great idea.

Of course I let the missus do the washing. Saves me doing it.

I was thinking the thread was just a 'crowd puller'.. clearly not ;-)

No, we've been in temporary accommodation for 15 months and there is nowhere to put a washing machine in the kitchen.
