Thank you I'll try and not give too much away when I come back ;-) ... I'll struggle with that one though
I went to the first night of Dance 'Til Dawn last night and the show was phenomenal. I went in with high expectations because I knew Vincent and Flavia would want to set the bar high but what resulted was at another level. Think Midnight Tango and multiply it by at least 10 or 100. I can quite see why it took them most of the last 6 months to put together.
It was funny, sad, dramatic but so well acted. There are 12 or so other dancers as well as a narrator/detective who is Teddy who was the original bar owner in Midnight Tango, there is even several characters who sing (and dance) but the story - a crime comedy - is told (as you'd expect) mostly through dance.
You name it, it had everything. Of Vincent and Flavia's solo bits alone I counted a Salsa, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, a Charleston Vincent did a paso solo (with some other guys), an emotional rumba and another new Argentine Tango towards the end.
For those that have tickets, you are in for one big treat.
For those that don't (yet), I would recommend you get some - they are going to be the hottest dance ticket of the year.
I would say it is only a matter of time before a London West End run is confirmed.
I pretty much agree with all that Sara has said... It is a wonderful show and should definitely be seen
I've written a bit of a blog update on it if anyone wants a read (I don't think there are any spoilers in it... anything I've mentioned has already been said in interviews etc by them)
Just to endorse what Sara and Dilly have said - it is truly a wonderful show - I saw it yesterday and didn't want it to end, time went so quick - Flavia and Vincent are truly magnificent and that's from an Artem fan!!
Just back from Dance till Dawn - and great to meet up with some old friends there, including Sara Vickery and Hannah Weaver. Dance till Dawn is Flavia and Vincent's new show and is a world away from the truly excellent Midnight Tango with Vincent Simone & Flavia Cacace.
LOTS of Dance - and dances of all types as well. The show's cast are all really good singers and dancers - at the same time, and the pace is frenetic. The story is artfully contrived and a paper thin piece of fluff brilliantly held together by Teddy Kempner - who played the Bar Owner in Midnight Tango.
Lots of fun - and non stop action from start to finish. Highly recommended by us! (thats MrsJJ and I)
And, of course, a glance at the programme will show that Dilly of this parish gets a full programme mention as Social Media Correspondent. It shown what perseverance can do.
Absolutely brilliant. My other half who suffers through the strictly shows was also wowed by it. I have heard him say to numerous people that it should transfer to Vegas! He loves Vegas so that is praise indeed from him.
It feels like a production rather than a dance show but with lots and lots of amazing dancing .
Particularly loved the chase scene in the first half (so clever) and of course the amazing Argentine Tango at the end!

Just Wow! I'd go again tomorrow!
Yes, that is well put It is definitely so much more than just a dance show. They describe it themselves as a fusion of ballroom, latin and musical theatre. All of their cast come from a musical theatre background.
I too loved the chase scene in the first half and is one of the bits I can't wait to see again to take it all in properly
Little peek at the new TV trailer for Dance 'Til Dawn - It'll be on TV this week for Manchester, Southampton, Liverpool and Edinburgh so look out for it
In the meantime you can download the link from the website
I saw the last Dublin show on Saturday night with my mam and sister and oh my god, it was such a delight. The dancing was gorgeous, music choices were spot on and the show itself was very funny. They are both so lovely and charming.
We had brilliant seats, just a few rows from the front and all three of us were blown away afterwards. Definitely recommend it!
My personal favourite dances were Stand By Me, the Argentine Tango and the end and Moon River.

V and F were amazing if course, but I found myself strangely drawn to cast member Carly Mercedes Dyer - what a woman.
