Hard to tell how a womans mind works.

Ma and Grandma were turned on by James Masons demeanour in his early films. Even when playing a villain they would not mind, in fact interest went up. They were not alone apparently.

    Movie actors now, or ever?

If ever, Peter O'Toole in his heyday by a country mile. There's never been anyone to touch him for handsomeness, before or since. If you want to know what I mean, watch Lawrence of Arabia.

Now Johhny Depp. He's just scrumptious.

    Deceased:

I love Laurence Olivier's looks from the 30s and 40s.

Noel Coward agreed, he was quoted as saying,"If he had been any prettier they would have had to retitle it, "Florence of Arabia." :D

But O'Toole's looks did not last, unlike Paul Newman, who was still a handsome man in his 80's.

I have to sadly agree, which is why I said "In his heyday". :D

I think he's had a facelift, too, which doesn't help.

Still, I watched "How to Steal a Million" a few weeks ago, and my heart still went flutter when he appeared on the screen!

Currently, Aidan Turner is hard to beat for looks, imo, though not technically in the movies until The Hobbit is released. And then he's a dwarf! Oh, well....

young paul newman was a good looking guy.

As I mentioned earlier, old Paul Newman was still a very handsome man too.

For those of us who remember the young Tyrone Power, he was the most handsome star of his era.

Tyrone Power was my nannan's favourite film star, oddly enough, my grandpop (her husband), looked a bit like him :)
Gene Kelly was a beautiful beautiful man.

    He most certainly was.

Then there's my geek list, guys who I wouldn't class as 'handsome' but I find so sexy.

    Jason Biggs
    Jesse Eisenberg
    Breckin Meyer
    Paul Rudd

I have one of those. It has Jason Segel, Nicholas Hoult and Jack Black on it... along with Paul Rudd, of course!

If we're going for best-looking actor of all time, then Marlon Brando (in A Streetcar Named Desire) or Brad Pitt in the mid-late nineties... swoon! Or Heath Ledger with the dark hair in Ten Things I Hate About You!!!

Now - James McAvoy or Tom Hardy. Honourable mentions to Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhall, James Marsden and Cillian Murphy.
