    Not only is he part of the wonderful group that is Caramel, Donna, Claudette, Les, Pam and Denise, he has a daughter and a brother on the square.

    He has a son actually

    And that still isn't a strong reason for his presence on the show. Hopefully SOC sorts him out. But for the time being, he is being used for filler scenes.
