    The viewings figures for this must have halved in the last few minutes. Shut up and get off mate, we want to see Kylie not hear you drone on and on...

    Is this also on the radio? The mistake I made watching the opening was not listening to the last hour in bed.....

    And Kylie does ?

    Kylie and her compatriot Jessica Mauboy are performing because this ceremony also represents the handover of the Commonwealth Games to the Australian hosts in 2018, the Gold Coast.

    I'm sorry but isn't this supposed to be the Commonwealth Games? All I've heard is Glasgow people going on about how great Glasgow is.
    That's the real Glasgow. They are so far up themselves it's unreal.

    Someone should have told this bloke that speeches are best kept short - he keeps saying the same stuff over and over just with different words

    If ever there was a speech that would kill the party atmosphere dead it was this. Fortunetly for him, the atmosphere was already dead before he started.

    The music so far has been incredibly lightweight and beige.
    Nothing has given this ceremony an injection of passion and energy.

    It's as though the opening and closing ceremonies have been organized by people who don't have much flair or passion and want it to come across as very dull, safe, and as bland as it can possibly be.

    I don't know which is funnier, this thread, or the comments on Twitter,

    @QueenUK

    It's the Commonwealth Games #closingceremony tonight. Looking forward to seeing if they can get the cap back on the sodding baton. Morons.
