Best Radio Presenters EVER!!

They can be past or present, either from speech or music radio. Here's mine :

James Whale - I agree with so many things he says it's like listening to myself!

Steve Allen - Out of everyone on radio I believe that Steve is the most honest and trustworthy.

Peter Deeley - Just a fantastic voice and a lovely man.

Clive Bull - Have been a listener of his from the start, even when he's being boring it's a laugh.

Beedlebum (Jeremy Beadle) - From the days of fun things happening. Anyone who remembers him from LBC years ago, will agree, I'm sure.

Mike Dickin - I don't agree with all he says and sometimes he infuriates me but when he gets it right he GETS IT RIGHT.

Ian Collins - Always a buzz going on when he's around.

Kenny Everett - Was anyone ever better? The only music show where you couldn't wait for the music to stop and for the DJ to talk!

Brian Matthew - His Radio 2 show has always been worth listening to, one of the true golden oldies still working.

Nick Hennegan - From the 'Arrow' - one of the few DJ voices that I actually enjoy listening to these days.

I could go on and list all the DJ's I remember from the good old days of the Pirates (Simon Dee, Rosko, Johnnie Walker) and early Radio 1 but I'll spare you that. And of course there are the greats like Wogan, Douglas Cameron, Fluff Freeman. The list is endless and I'm sure I'll remember more and think 'how could I forget him?' What's your list?

Best ive ever heard was Kenny Everet, often imitated but no one has ever got close to him in my opinion.

Best at the moment - Hawksbe and Jacobs on Talk Sport, just plain funny really passionate about sport.

Allan Beswick. His Red rose Radio phone-in was the best I've heard.

Tom Binns- A superb phone-in presenter, wasted on Kerrang drive,

Jeremy 'Jezza' Kyle. His Confessions show on Century was excellent.

Nicky Campbell. The 'Into the night' show on Radio 1 was my favourite but he's still great on 5 Live.

Adrian Chiles. Great on 606 on 5 Live

Simon Mayo. Always an engaging listen.

George Galloway. Does a great show on Talksport.

my two favourite ever radio presenters are...

Chris Hakin, from Sunderland's Sun FM & Durham FM. he's very good at what he does. got a pretty good podcast aswell.

Pete Clough, great randomness, and his fascination of David Hasselhoff is starting to rub off on me aswell. :D

Well from talk sport it has to be James H Reeve & Tommy Boyd

For comedy purposes and a presenter that spouted crap most of the time, it would be Mike the mouth Elliot

When he had his talk show on TFM Tom Davies

    Comedy everynight - Tim Shaw

And for producing some of the most daring radio in recent years - Alan Robson

In the context of the early seventies, I would add Noel Edmonds doing the Radio 1 breakfast show. He set the standard for others to emulate.

He went downhill after that doing the weekend slot from imaginary locations such as (I think) Piggots Bottom - a format he later resurrected for TV.

Some good names coming up - I'd forgotten Brian Hayes and Robbie Vincent! Some of the others I haven't heard of and wish I had a chance to hear them. Good also to know there are other Everett fans out there!
