What are the statistics of being murdered?

I doubt on the evidence of this thread that I would get a custodial sentence.

The chances of being murdered are 1 in 50,000 - that can't be right, surely?

    How old are you?

I am going to Liverpool in May.

    I dread it.
Play your cards right and Hicky will take you to that "eat your way around the world until you drop" restaurant. ;)

If fumes go up the chimney, goodo.:D
It's those that don't that give the problem.
Apart from calor gas heaters there is no such thing as a fire with no chimney.
People tend not to have indoor bonfires on purpose.

I don't have any gas appliances in the house, only the boiler in the kitchen and we don't live in there.

If you can smell a candle then you are breathing in the fumes,

    I don't use air fresheners, O/H does.
I don't like any chemical sprays as they all contain gas.

Laminate fumes are just while it's being installed I think

fumes for a few days after fitting, not really a problem, minimum risk.

How do you not use the air fresheners? Do you wear a surgeon's mask while you watch the playboy channel. OOOOH  is it part of the fun? :p

The carpet and flooring companies only tell you that so you will buy them. ;)

    Thats what it says.
How does that compare with a country like the UK?

The chance of being murdered in the UK is 0.002% pa. Or a one in 50,000 chance per year. Your 125 times more likely to be murdered as a South African farmer than a UK citizen in this calculation.

According to this, babies are most at risk.

I can't see Bella playing cards somehow, not Poker anyway, maybe Bridge.

Gas hobs in Kitchens don't have to have a Flue, that's how clean they burn.

The O/H controls the fresheners, i think they are a waste of time and money.

As with fumes from most materials, if you can smell it in the air then it may be a danger.
Not easy to smell Laminate flooring or carpets.

    BREAKING NEWS

Healthy person discovered living undercover in Leeds

At a secret rendezvous, Mr. X today insisted that his healthy looks were down to the fact that he is actually healthy and has no underlying medical conditions."There are others just like me out there," he whispered," but we shun publicity for fear of scorn and ridicule..."

Mr. Hickman from the Wirral who's TO TEST IS BEST campaign is gathering momentum commented today that he didn't believe for one moment that Mr.X would pass scrutiny."I just know we would find something if we looked hard enough" he insisted and challenged Mr. X to seek an exploratory operation in order to prove his controversial assertion

He then went on to say that even if the results were proven, he still wouldn't believe him.

    very good :D
