I think it depends on the circumstances. Farting in the presence of close friends and family is fine, but farting in church or confined spaces like tube trains or lifts is a bit anti-social. It's probably not acceptable in most workplaces, either.
I find farting amusing, I must admit. I was thinking earlier that we hadn't had a fart or poo thread for a few days.
I find them hilarious but I get stern looks from the Mother in Law.
No, it's not rude. It's a perfectly natural bodily function which is as you say hilarious.
When I was a kid, my (late) Grandad used to tightly clench my wrist, put a pained expression on his face, and let rip with farts that would these days be classed as chemical warfare.
Me and my younger sister used to fall about the place, while my Mum (his adult daughter) used to go mental because of his "bad" behaviour.
It obviously had a profound effect on us as both me and my sister - both now in our '50's - still enjoy a good rip-snorter in front of the family.

Well I think sometimes it is rude and uncalled for . When my old girlfriend used to trump in bed I always told her off. Its unladylike .
I would probably be unhappy if a future partner enjoyed farting and belching .
What has happened to good manners nowadays

Neither OH or I could ever b e in a relationship with someone who objected to a bit of flatulence.

Of course she doesn't, she has staff to do it for her...
Hahah, you're Granddad sounds like a right laugh!
Dont you end up three inches shorter?
I find them hilarious too, I always have. Especially ones that smell so bad they turn your own stomach. Normally your own don't smell so bad.

How old are you?

We'd both burst from holding it in.
Pull my finger and I'll tell ya
