Dead celebrities that you would revive

As some of you know, today is the anniversary of the Princess of R'n'B Aaliyah's tragic death :( If she was still alive now, she would have been by now the most succesful R'n'B artist ever probably as she had already sold around 32 million copies after only 3 albums. If I could resurect three celebrities, I would resurect her, Michael Jackson and Steve Irwin. They are one of the many people I admired that have died during my life.

Which other celebrities do you think went to soon and you miss so badly when watching them and can't believe they're dead?

My list would be:
Michael Jackson
Steve Irwin
Jade Goody
John Lennon
George Harrison
Nick Drake
Aaliyah
Tupac
Laurel & Hardy

There are a lot more on my list! Post me your list of celebrities you miss

    Ian Curtis
    Joe Strummer

Both of them died far too young and both were very big influences on a lot of bands and songwriters.

I would definitly revive Michael Jackson if I could. I didn't realize how much I missed him until I saw the great videos and energetic music of his on the 4Music: Michael Jackson - One Year On tribute. Still hasn't sunken in yet. :( He definitly would have re-gained more respect and success if he was alive for the tour. But I couldn't imagine him as old though.

Kurt Cobain is another I miss and thought died too young.
Jeff Buckley would have continued a succesful career as well
Noone knows if he is dead or not, but Richey Edwards from the Manic Street Preacher's dissapearence and possible death is quite tragic

Michael Jackson definitely. Been a fan since I was yay high and was devastated when he passed. It still hasn't sunk in and I miss him dreadfully. He has given me some wonderful memories. Call me a crazy fan, I really don't care.

Aaliyah -she was amazing and only in her prime when she was killed. Such a horrible way to go too.

Marvin Gaye - Love his music and the whole motown era wouldn't have been as great as it was without him,

    Michael Jackson.

Elvis Presley - I only realised how attractive and what a great entertainer he was very recently.

    And for the talentless vote.....

Jade Goody - for the comedy factor and also so those boys didn't have to grow up without their mummy at their side.

Good choices. I'd add Buddy Blue.

But my hackles rise at the thought of Strummer as a "celebrity".

No way, what makes her so special apart from being thick and ignorant, she is one for the zelebs who should never have been conceived.

    back on topic,

    Audrey Hepburn,

    Elvis Presley,

    Matt Monro,

    Nat King Cole,

    Louis Armstrong.

    Met the first three.:)

As far as I'm concerned he deserves far more recognition and respect than the celebrities of today, obviously he's not a celebrity and never would have been, I never actually thought about that before I typed his name, I'm sure he would have been pretty happy with not being a celeb anyway.

Just beat me to it! :D I'm not even a fan of Queen but, for similar reasons given for those who wish to revive Michael Jackson, I can still see what a great talented musician he was and one who died too soon.

    Good question!

James Stewart - the finest actor that ever lived.

Gene Kelly - superb talent and ridiculously attractive in his day.

John Lennon - I'd gladly swap him for Ringo!

George Harrison - Beautiful man still sadly missed.

Tommy Cooper - brilliantly funny man

Alexander McQueen - such a talent.

Charlie Haddon - Ou est le swimming Pool were just starting to make it big and his death just seems so pointless.

It makes my blood boil at the injustice and pointlessness surrounding her death.

Not the only one, obviously, but she's the artist I would have particulaly loved to have heard more from.

Lennon...just on the off chance that if he'd lived 5 more years,he might just have said yes to Geldof for Live Aid and yes to the greatest one off reunion of all time. Sadly we'll never know if he would have or not....

    Kenny Everett - Radio genius.

John Candy and John Ritter for their comedy skills and big hearts. Diana, Princess of Wales, because she might've actually changed the monarchy for good. Heath Ledger because he would've been an amazing actor with a huge body of thoroughly entertaining work.
