There was an actor in Juliet Bravo on Monday night I've seen in things over the years, he was called Tony Melody. I never knew that was his name, I've never even heard that name before. He's no longer with us, he passed away about seven years ago aged 85. I can't post a link sorry I think some people will recognise him though.
Tony Melody had the distinction of dubbing the voice of John Comer (Sid the café owner) in Last of the Summer Wine. Comer was dying of throat cancer but managed to complete filming of his last episode however his voice had gone and Tony Melody stepped in.
John Woodvine is retired, his last TV appearance was in an episode of The Bill in 2001.
Tommy Godfrey. Who knows who he is? Just saw him in a guest appearance on On The Buses. Quite a well known face popping up in various things in the 1970's.
I don't recognise David Garth, but I know he was married to Geraldine Newman who played Hilda Hughes in Ever Decreasing Circles.
I didn't remember her face (so perfect for this thread!) but I definitely recognise her after looking her up. She has a very distinctive look about her!

I used to be really good at recognising faces and I would be like a dog with a bone to remember where I had seen them before. And I could always do it eventually.
I remember seeing this actress, Sandy Hendrickse, in something and I just knew I'd seen her face somewhere before and it took me aaaaagggges to remember where. She was in an advert that was shown in cinemas for coffee. One of those that you kind of ignore but just gets into you brain like osmosis.
Anyway, she was in Family Affairs at one point and she's been in Doctors and Hollyoaks too, apparently.

wasnt she ricky gervais date in the Office at the end of the show
I was in the doctor's waiting room the other day and they had some sort of medical channel on the TV. Julie Peasgood was introducing a magazine programme about various horrible ailments.
Last time I remember hearing Julie Peasgood was a voice over on an advert for Birdseye peas, of all things.
I don't watch Emmerdale, but seen bits recently. A bloke who plays a character called Lawrence White. Apparently an actor called John Bowe.
Know his face, when I found out his his name still don't recognise it.
John Bowe , his face has been 'about', he was 'someone' in Prime Suspect, among hundreds of other things.
He's been in Corrie too, wouldn't surprise me if he's been in multiple soaps as different characters.

Julie Peasgood, she's and odd one, to me at least.
I remember her in Brookside as Terry or Barry's love interest, she left then began popping up in daytime presenting jobs and seemed to be quite popular, well got a fair bit of work.
I'll have to listen out for her voice work, I don't remember her having anything distinctive about her voice at all.

Thanks K!
I remembr John Woodvine in Softly softly. I think he also cropped up in When The Boat Comes In back in the day as a union leader.
