If I want to be alive or unharmed on New Year's Day I won't be going to the town centre, I know that much.

I want to decorate my bedroom, but first it needs stripping, so I may do that on NYE, if not it will definitely be done over the weekend.

Going to a private party at the South Bank and watching the fireworks from the balcony of the Festival Hall :D

Never once went up to town on NYE when I lived in the London area and am really looking forward to this :D

Actual fisticuffs or just a bit of drunken screaming at someone?

    I'm going to a party at a mate's house.

    need you ask?

Have fun at your mate's house, cos quite frankly, I'd never admit to having a 'mate's house' on here.

I'll be waiting for my invite

I'm not sure I'm going anywhere now :(

I had a bit of a fall out the other day with friends over silly rumours.

Last year I decided I was too old (at 38) to be doing with the hassle of NYE - nothing but crowds, trouble and hangovers - so I went out for a few beers early on in the evening then went home and fell asleep in front of the TV.

This year I will be doing the same.

Same as I do every new years eve, I'll cook tea, OH will go off to work driving drunken morons around, I'll play with my son for a while, get him bathed and off to bed, nag my teenager to turn her godawful music down so I can hear mine, chat with friends on facebook, have a read of DS, have a long soak in the bath, put some washing in the machine and go to bed. I'll pop in my daughters room to say goodnight and she'll say "see you next year" like it's the funniest thing ever, despite her saying it for the last 5yrs!

Sitting at home in front of the telly and reading DS while eating rubbish. I don't really like New Year parties much.
