Right from the off Brazil looked dazed, as each goal went in it was like a boxer getting punched ever more heavily.

Germany have just buried the myth of freewheelin Brazilian football.

    Buried it deep.

I wonder if this elusive 'passion' that the England team supposedly need to make them a winning World Cup team will help Brazil.
A decent test of this theory. Because Brazil appeared to be incredibly passionate when the match started.

I did feel sorry for that little Brazilian boy in the crowd wearing glasses who was crying though.

Moral of the story? Singing a national anthem with pride etc means jack shit.

Completely agree, this needs re-emphasizing passion and singing is meaningless.

Quite a few people were expecting Germany to dominate but not this amount of goals, unbelievable!

Blitzkrieg - German lightning war forces a breakthrough into the enemy's line of defense through a series of short, fast, powerful attacks and once in the enemy's territory, proceeds to dislocate them using speed and surprise, and then encircle them.

South American fans assassinate players that mess up at world cups. Could be R.I.P. Brazilian football in more ways than one.

Alan Hansen's going to have a field day with this at half-time.

You do wonder looking at this performance whether a large degree of complacency has crept into this Brazilian side.

As they were below par in both the Chile and Colombia games and still came through in a roundabout way, perhaps some of the players have got into the mindset that they only had to turn up to book a place in the final.

Germany will decide how many they score, Brazil have no say in this. They don't need to score more, just to comfortably see out the match and conserve energy for the final.

    Meanwhile, in a hospital:

    Neymar: "Nurse....what's the score?"
Nurse: "Um....time for your meds and a good nap. You can have steak tonight."

With a bit of luck we will have a final where Germany and Netherlands go to penalties at 10-10 after extra time.

You would have thought so when we have seen quite a few 'lesser' teams such as Costa Rica being such fighters who were very hard to beat.
Then you remind yourself that this is Brazil........ BRAZIL.

But boy do I feel bad for the Brazilian fans. The sight of that little boy with crying was just too much.

They expected to win the WC with an average team, tonight they have been shown for what they really are. Enjoy it while it lasts. The kid, yeah, poor sod, try supporting England...
