From £30,000 to NOTHING. WTF were you thinking?! >:(
His mind went blank he said. I agree. That really goes down as one of the most foolish decisions ever on DOND, and from a man who did not look like he would make one. He did all the hard work and threw it all away, having made that speech about how much that amount is to him in his life. Very strange indeed.
Box No17 this week thanks.
Ken, lovely chap, idiotic decision. I can't imagine what your sons must have said to you!
Was the swap offered? I don't think it was, if it was I would have won £100k. I would have won nothing today though!:(
The swap was not even mentioned. I really feel sorry for Ken - perhaps if he had a family member there he would have been helped along at the end of his game. He really should have dealt at 30K - a nice amount for him and his missus! I think he really missed the plot.
I felt so sorry for Ken today. He was such a cheerful, positive gentleman who deserved much better and would have had a much better outcome had he not let the occasion overwhelm him. Thems the breaks!

I think he was driven by that stupid tall order wish list he had. A "coat" for his wife (gets on my nerves that phrase because itr obviously means something very expensive) and then a very nice holiday and to put his sons on the property market!
There have been a few people recently who have dealt on a goodish offer only to have the highest remaining box themselves and that is the other thing that probably drove him.
It seems to me that people have GOT to deal when a good offer is on the table because otherwise there is a high chance sods law will kick in and that is if you deal on a good offer, your own box had a massive amount, but if you don't deal on the good offer, you end up losing it all or as good as! Best thing to do then is take the good offers and forget your wish lists and forget the stupid superstitions too players!
