    Clearly some characters working there!!!

Those designer guys must be seriously rich, getting the Clariges general manager showing them to their room.

Claridges website is down right now. Probably people trying to see how much their rooms are.

Normal rooms start from about £400 I think.

I left my camera in the room safe in a Sheraton once. Remembered on my way to the airport, but didn't have time to go back. It was one I went to regularly for business, so I rang up to tell them to keep it for me till my next visit, but it was a right battle to get them to go get it out of the room safe first.

Not seen anything here at Claridges worth £5k a night yet

It surprises me somewhat that a guest can leave money in a room and it seems they don't call the guest to tell them/automatically return it to them. I would have thought at £5000 a night that would be a given. Weird. Also the TV's being an hour ahead.. that seems like such a lazy oversight for such a price too.

WHAT?! They're insisting a full change of how a floor is used and they DON'T COMMIT?!

The thought "Oh FFS!" MUST go through the mgt team's mind...

That's what I thought, when I worked in a hotel and items were left, we contacted the owners rather than wait for them to call!

I found that odd too. They also seem to be implying that the head housekeeper is being over fastidious, but I don't think her attention to detail is that exceptional.
