but all that aside, if like me you absolutely love dave lamb's acidic comments on cdwm and want to put him up for an award as the best voice over/witicisims on tv today, then join in here.

this week i loved him saying to the guy with his eyes closed in the taxi at the end 'wake up' louder and louder. and then pleading with the woman who suggested singing her scales (when using her scales to measure something) shut up ... shut up ...SHUT UP.

dave lamb - the biggest invisible star on our tv today.

    Yes, I would tend to agree. I love CDWM and his comments are just the best!

    Is it me or does he look a bit like Anthony Hopkins?

    I was actually trying to find a pic of him a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find a thing either on Google or IMDB.

    Now that I've seen him his voice doesn't match his face LOL.

    not just you. now you mention it, he does. and i love anthony hopkins (in silence of the lambs my fave movie). maybe dave could say about liver and chianti. :D

    Wow, I never knew that that was who Dave Lamb is. I;ve seen him in so many shows and ads, and never put that voice to that face.

    His CDWM voiceovers are truly genius - they elevate that show above most other lifestyle shows on TV.

    I thought Dave was great on ITV comedy Moving Wallpaper this time last year. I presume he'll be back for series 2. And as everyone else says, he really is brilliant on Come Dine With Me!

    i've never seen moving wallpaper. is he a voice over there too?

    Add me to his fan list. (I always imagined him with dark hair though) His voice-overs are terrific.

    Dave Lamb is fantastic, he makes come Dine With Me (well not literally) and without him the show would just not be the same.

    You have to have seen an episode of this weeks CDWM to appreciate the 'shut up' comment. So no, no wind-up intended. :)

    If you are going to use acronyms, it would be helpful if you used the words in the first instance, followed by the acronym in brackets.

    e.g. Come Dine With Me (CDWM)

    Otherwise it's just a nonsense.

    Brilliant as I have so often wondered what he looks like.He has me in stitches every single day with his voice overs on CDWM.. best programme on TV.!!!He is just so acidic and dry.Gosh it will make a huge difference when I watch the bonanza long repeat come Sunday.

    Thanks :) He's not at all how I pictured him. His funny comments on CDWM are the only reason I watch the show.
