First time I'll be watching it on the site from the beginning of the session and chatting here. If anything, this is going to be quite an interesting one with the sudden change in the polls and all.

Stephen Pound is always good for a laugh.

I cannot think of anything that Miliband might lead on and I am sure that Cameron will as usual will be well briefed and ready to repel marauders.

Perhaps Miliband will mention the Budget seeing as he didn't bother to mention it last week in his response to it?

it will somewhat leave him open to that being pointed out.

    though it may be anyway.

I suspect he'll get some stick for that from Cameron. Labour voted against the budget last night - so that's probably going to come up as well.

NUT talking spin on Daily Politics.
Saying the 40% of teachers leave the profession after five years as a reason for a strike means what exactly?
Considering the profession, particularly at infant/primary level is mainly women, how many of that 40% is down to them leaving to have babies as opposed to pressures of the job?

Just watched the little squabble over the so-called "Welfare Cap".

They say they want more female politicians, but if they're anything like these two they might not as well bother.

I'm sorry but I think that Labour MP is talking out of her backside in suggesting "most of" her constituents have had to "resort to food banks".

I've love to see some figures and data to back that claim up because I suspect she's talking rubbish.

It winds me up. Yes, things have been tough. Yes, people are shorter for money. Yes, it's a recession. But the way Labour bang on and on and on and on about the "cost of living crisis" and make out that everyone is popping down to the food banks once a week is just garbage. It's NOT that bad. Yes food bank usage is on the rise and yes people use them but to suggest "most of" her local area are using them is just scare politics.

Labour MP wants to know why a promise made in 1995 hasn't been implemented. She ought to ask Miliband.

Miliband asks about SSE price reduction. He is now floundering because Cameron points out that this government has reduced the cost of fuel so that is the reason for the cut.

Just watched the little squabble over the so-called "Welfare Cap".

Twas a weird squabble. We're all living longer, the population is growing , things always go up in price so of course the costs go up looking forward.

It struck me that the "cap" was to do with changing/adding benefits, so more a policy cap than a financial one, supposedly to make welfare more transparent which might help address certain preconceptions the public has when discussing welfare.

I do wish Ed would explain how his Government-enforced price freeze would work. He won't of course.

    What's wrong with Miliband?

Companies cutting prices because they're changing their business model, flogging off assets and making folk redundant has sod all to do with the nonsense legilative price freeze Ed talks about.
