I leave mine until it has evolved into a new life form and takes itself off the bed.

Yes well drying a sheet, two duvet covers and four pillow cases in a small flat isn't exactly easy

Why TWO duvet covers if there's only one sheet ?

I suspect it's a coping technique for partners who pull the duvet off you.

Ideally I'd do it once a week, as there is nothing like climbing in to a fresh set of bedding for the night. Usually I do it fortnightly though.

Ah ok - that make sense.

But then ... you could wash them on alternate weeks if airing space is an issue. Actually easier than if you've got one double duvet.

I usually try to do it once a week but tomorrow it will be a fortnight since I last washed them. I'm not a clean freak or anything but it is starting to bother me I feel really dirty getting into bed at night but I've not been well the past week and a bit so the thought of changing them seems like a mission! Hoping it's a nice day tomorrow and I'll get them out on the washing line. Nothing better than getting into bedding straight off the line :)

Does it get easier the less often you do it?

It's a pain in the arse whenever I do it. I certainly couldn't afford to do a load of washing on a weekly basis as well considering in this weather i've got nowhere to get it all dry.

    Roughly about once a month.

Whether it needs it or not!

The fact I'm planning on doing that too! I just love hopping into crisp clean sheets. I always use those Lenor Unstoppables whenever I wash bedding & the fragrance lasts for ages :)

I've only ever used those once and didn't really notice a difference but now the nicer weather is coming in and I can hang my washing out I'll try them again. I'm so sad I love trying different washing powders and new fragrances of Lenor

Once a week, sometimes twice in the summer months. Regular washing ensures that sebum and sweat do not coat your pillows, which can make your skin greasy too.

Pillowcases and sheet every week, duvet cover fortnightly. I probably only sleep in my bed half the nights in a fortnight, it's only me in a double bed.
