I suspect they will eventually. They're just being cautious to start with. Vodafone sell out as soon as they get them in. EE were always worried about macro interference.
The lady from tmobile who sold me mine today said they are now for all customers. I'm not a business customer, I wasn't put through to the business dept when I made my purchase.
Thanks, I guess I'll ring ans see then, though she is PAYG so not holding up hope. Still, at least Orange now have femto.
Well she called back today. Left a message. Order still there but not processed.
She's escalated it to find out when it will be here.
I like EE Business
I called cs again tonight. SHe said there was a problem processing them but now resolved. I havnt had a text from uk mail yet so delivery tomorrow doesnt look good.

i spoke to tmob today to, mines still waiting to be dispatched , and the order was placed yesterday (even tho it was ordered monday ) she also said its not going to be with me tomorrow. ive not had any text either yet
I got a text today saying delivery this afternoon.
Woohoo! I do believe you will be first mate.
Had a second message from EE business last night. Only got it this morning (bad signal see! :-)
She said I wouldn't get it today but it will be here Friday. Cool.
I called EE business. Answered in 1.25 seconds. They put me through to tech support and registered it for me. Its pretty good bit of kit. I notice that my iphone makes a beep when a call connects through the femto. Not sure if thats iphone specific.
I'm here.
Mine came this afternoon.
Just plugged it in but no info on registering it!
I'll ring them in a mo when I've got the kids to bed!
Noticed it an 8 user device not 4 as advertised on the website.
This would be why Nokia recommend 2Meg.
Mines normally 1.6 which should be fine since there's only 2 handsets in the house.
Sight problem though. After a line fault my ADSL is 283Kbps. Great!!
The Dynamic Line Management hasn't brought the speed back up yet so I'm stuffed.
But when it is working, I'll probably have a coronary, yes.:D
It says the device is HSPA but doesn't mention a "+".
Once Paulker get to test it on something faster than 20Meg we'll know.
Also I see they only recommend 2Meg download so there's a decent handset data connection. For most the data connection won't be used, only voice/sms.
I note they recommend 512 upload meaning that 512 must be enough for 8 Simeltanious calls.
Therefore my measly 283Kbps should be enough for at least 1 call which is all I need 90% of the time.
I have been told by someone (of high integrity) that residential customers will be provided with one if they can prove a bad signal. Hope it works out for you. Keep pestering
I didn't receive the promised call-back, but was lucky this evening to reach a great CS rep who spent a good 30 minutes following-up and then called me back. She confirmed they had initiated the process to supply a signal box due to my bad signal, and even read out the internal process documentation of what has to be done to place such an order, confirming each step had been completed for me. We are now waiting on another department to execute the allocation of the box to my account, and I believe she will call back as promised in the next couple of days with a progress update. Fingers crossed!

Problem is when I call the T-Mobile activation number nobody has any idea how to active ate the device!!!!
Called twice now.
I have gone from 0-1 bars of signal with GPRS to full bars and 3G anywhere in my house.
3G speed test results: Ping 99ms Download 9.02Mbs Upload 4.81Mbs
Call quality excellent.
Unlike the Vodafone box, you do not need to register mobile numbers. They just work. There is no admin access that I can see.
The device is a Nokia Siemens FAPr-hsp 5000
Sounds like devon bloke is going to crack open a bottle when he gets his
Reading the spec sheet Nokia recommends a home broadband connection of a minimum of 2mb down and 512kb (0.5mb) up.
was it t-mobile business or normal that called you back?
And to confirm this is the tmobile activation line. Not the ordering line.
ok thanks just calling now, plugged mine in 5 mins ago and the light is still flashing
where's Devon? wonder if his arrived
