I stopped buying the Beano in 2005/2006 but I always found it quite funny when I bought it. Maybe it has changed recently though. I always thought it was strange why the Bash Street Kids never really changed.
I stopped buying it in 2004 as it really started to go downhill and the new look of some of the characters were terrible (especially Ball Boy and Billy Whizz)
i used to love reading both Dandy and Beano comics have had got loads of them in the loft probably dating as afar back as the 80's! i stopped buying them around 2000 as i had grown out of them.
i think overall i preferred the Beano but both were good.
i have seen recent issues in shops and had a look through once but it just does not look the same now but still if it is selling 40,000 its not doing bad.
