Confirmation that the Texter is Ben

Yep. We knew she couldn't keep it to herself :D sounds like it's going to get messy

She's obviously going to handle the situation with maturity and dignity ... no wait ...

so we have decided to go on a bender together. I won't go into her problems (at least until she ok's it for me to do so anyway) but she's in about the same place as me right now"

So she's going to drag Sarah down with her ... how kind! And she's going to tell us all of Sarah's secrets too. Fab

That is if Sarah actually exists, of course :D

I haven't read the latest blog yet. I'll get Small Son ready for school and then grab a coffee first ...

    Who was at the gig?
All the gang were there (Tony, Pants, Rusty, Carolina, Becky, marge n parge, auntie Barbie and uncle Spud, motorbike Rich and even Jackie and George
and Uncle Tom Cobleigh and all.
We're thinking maybe a freaky friend or jealous girlfriend sent them from his phone?! It just seems so weird. Anyway, I'm not gonna call him to find out cos if it was him then I don't want to talk to him. That said, if I do have to spend time with him again and it turns out that he didn't send the texts then the sh*t is really gonna hit the fan with someone!!!!! Oh dear......
Wouldn't that be fun? My money's on Dawn, and, to quote a well-known blogger,
Where will it all end? I have no idea, but I suspect it will involve someone having their hair set on fire and being pushed down a staircase...
I'd so like to be there when Jodie arrives for the TASTS finals rehearsal.
Elsewhere Jodie gives us her philosophy,
    I DON'T WANT RESPECT; I WANT A SHAG
and tells us what went wrong with her previous relationships, she
settled for somebody who didn't make me 200% happy!!!
    Not too demanding, is she?
She realises that most people aren't having a great time:
if you haven't really lived your life to the full and done enough for yourself then how do you even know that the person you live with today is "The One"? There might be someone a thousand million times better (who could Jodie be thinking of here?) out there but you don't even know about it because you are too wrapped up in your little (what you think is) happy bubble.
So take that, Dawn and Mrs Fit Barman, and stop spoiling their lives by preventing Jodie having them.
You never know; someone might came along one day and make you feel something you've never felt before. Someone that knocks you not just off your feet, but into another planet with love. But you ain't even gonna see them if you've only got eyes for the nagging other half you live with! You get me?!
And she's even got a little quote to back her up,
There is no need to blame yourself for your past, present or future behaviour.
No, that's it, Jodie. You're alway, always right. How could anyone doubt you?

Nice detective work on the 'mystery' texts everyone. :D
I'm half-way through my mate Emily Dubberley's book I'd Rather Be Single Than Settle. It talks about people "settling" as opposed to "settling down". "Settling" is where you quite literally "settle" for being with someone even though deep down you know they are not the perfect person for you.

Oh, I see! I got it now!!

I wonder how long it took her to work that out?

God she has no self respect at all does she, shes determined to split them up. Its quite sad really that she has to take pot shots at people on her blog.
I'm actually beginning to doubt that anything even happened with her and Ben, shes just hoping that if she plants enough seeds of doubt with his girlfriend, that she'll dump him and Jodie can have the sloppy seconds. Quite pathetic for a 28 year old woman.

    Morning Threadworms ;)
Unless I can dance on a bar then I'm not really interested to be quite honest. I'm not content with sitting around making small talk.

Goodness! And coming just hours after someone here asked why she never just went out for a quiet drink, why did it always have to be carnage? It's uncanny!

Oh yes - and Dawn, if you're reading this, please, please, please consider going to the press with the story. I know, you probably have more class and dignity than Jodie so selling a story is something that you might not normally do, but somebody really should expose the hypocritical b*tch!

If I were Sarah, I'd be really pissed off that Jodie was going to spill my secrets.

As for taking cheap shots at Dawn, Oh sorry Jodie, how DARE Dawn not want you flirting with her boyfriend. It's disgusting. And how DARE she not let you steal him away? What a cow.

I really want to strangle her with a hair extension.

Honestly? I think she hates herself and is constantly looking for validation through attention. She can't be average or anonymous because who is she then? A nobody!
In every blog she's screaming, "LOOK AT ME WITH MY AMAZING LIFE - MY HUNDREDS OF BEST FRIENDS AND SOULMATES, MY FAME, MY MONEY, MY TROUPE OF VERY SMALL DOGS! I AM BETTER THAN YOU!"

*takes off pop psychology hat and replaces it with miniature stetson, worn at a jaunty angle*

S'mah birfday this week. Imagine my joy (there were tears of it, I tell you) when my friend came round with a present she'd picked up whilst in Montana...

    A pink stetson. :D

I wore it whilst having a cheeky babycham on the balcony (*) last night and was wolf whistled (**) at by the neighbourhood thugs...

And as for La Marsh's OCD about putting handcream on every time she washes her mitts (which let's face it, is probably about once a week to get the burger sauce and dog poo off), that's nothing. I recently discovered I'm obsessed with putting things in tupperware. I shouted at my flatmate's boyfriend because he put some leftovers in the fridge in a bowl. But maybe that's because I'm a VJB.

Anyway, I can feel a wheat intolerance coming on, s'cuse me.

(*) sounds posh. Isn't. Think more North London local housing authority than Chelsea pad.

(**) I may have developed Marshitis at this point. It's an ear condition where you think you hear praise and wolf whistles when what's actually being shouted it "you look like a t**t"

All taken from the last blog, with my responses after each bit - in the hope that if Jodie reads, she might also consider a mere human being's point of view, even though it isn't in a book  ...

Unless I can dance on a bar then I'm not really interested to be quite honest. I'm not content with sitting around making small talk. It was nice to see everyone but I'd far rather be in Cyprus jumping up and down in a club!

Don't you think that's a bit shallow? aren't you interested in any of your friends and family, and what they're doing with their lives. Don't you want to actually get to know anyone, or their views and opinions on wider matters?
Or, are you frightened that if they get to know you, they wont like you, or you'll show yourself up? that's a rhetorical question by the way

at this point in the story Jackie and I shouted simultaneously "I DON'T WANT RESPECT; I WANT A SHAG!" then we fell about laughing.

    That's meant to impress us?
You've been in relationships were you weren't respected.
You don't respect yourself, and other people don't respect you either - particularly the public.
You actually do care about this, you don't like it, so don't try and deceive us, just clean up your act

it is educating and already I have changed my opinion of wanting to settle down in the near future (with anyone!). It talks about people "settling" as opposed to "settling down". "Settling" is where you quite literally "settle" for being with someone even though deep down you know they are not the perfect person for you.

Which is exactly what you've been ranting about for quite a while now, anyone would do! but apparently, now you're reading a book, all that's changed (for this week - actually no, make that for today)

Settled for something that wasn't perfect, settled for someone I didn't truly love, settled for someone I had no intention of ever marrying (even though I've had 4 blokes propose to me and I've accepted all four rings - hell why not?!), settled for someone that didn't absolutely rock my world in every single sense of the imagination and settled for somebody who didn't make me 200% happy!!! Now why would anyone want to go and do a thing like that?!

    Why?
Because, despite telling everyone how well off you are, and what a lot of money you earn, you're so cheap you can't resist something for nothing - even an engagement ring off someone you have no intention of marrying. Ah well, it gets you some attention for a while too I suppose (several times)
A word to the wise - stop looking for 200% happy. Even though you tell us that so many things in your life are the best in the world evah! 200% doesn't actually exist.

if you haven't really lived your life to the full and done enough for yourself then how do you even know that the person you live with today is "The One"? There might be someone a thousand million times better out there but you don't even know about it because you are too wrapped up in your little (what you think is) happy bubble. On that note I think everyone should stay single for as long as is possible to discover what it really is you want out of life. I'm 27 and I'm f*cked if I know?! Stop all this loved-up nonsense and get out there and meet as many different people as you possibly can. You never know; someone might came along one day and make you feel something you've never felt before. Someone that knocks you not just off your feet, but into another planet with love. But you ain't even gonna see them if you've only got eyes for the nagging other half you live with! You get me?!

You don't need to read a book, just read this - you'll never, ever be at peace with yourself with that attitude. You're someone who doesn't appreciate anything that you've got, so you wont ever be happy with what you have.
What you're actually saying, is that people get something they think is wonderful - but there might be something out there even MORE wonderful, so go and look for that?
That's the path to lifelong discontent, and a lonely time reflecting on what you've lost.

I read that kind of stuff and it makes me despair, makes me sad that she thinks her life is so wonderful (or more likely, she only says she does) and yet she's sooo discontented, and so emotionally needy that it must drain the life out of everyone she knows :(

By the way, does anyone else think that the bit underlined is speaking directly to Ben?

Whats so bizarre about the barman situation, is that even the people who seem to know him (or met him on holiday so they obviously know he's spoken for, I honestly cant see any other reason thats keeping them apart, he doesnt even seem to have his own business) dont seem to care that he's married/spoken for. They seem to think its absolutely fine.

So, having a quick scan of yesterday's blogs two things are without doubt....

    1. The texter was Ben - who has now gone from an unobtainable object of desire to someone who something went on with, but Jodie's doing the right thing ( ) and keeping quiet for the sake of his girlfriend, and not at all trying to stir trouble because she knows they look at her blogs (which I'll lay money prompted the last text from Ben) and is now trying to lay the thought in Dawn's mind that something did go on, when it obviously didn't.

    2. She reads this thread on a daily basis - yesterday I questioned what work she actually does these days outside of TASTA - and yesterday we get sudden mentions of magazine interviews.

    *Morning Jodie :D *

Well that's me set up for the day. Just settled back, starbucks in hand and digested another two quality blogs.

I give her 48 hours and she'll crack and tell us all what happened but perhaps if we alll pretend we're not interested at all in the slightest she'll cut that to 24 hours.

She also mentioned Me or the Dog, which people on this thread were discussing yesterday, asking about the airdate...and lo and behold, Jodie blogs the airdate.

*sniff* thanks (it's on sunday, btw! and I shall be 32). It means a lot... I say we could be soul mates, but I've already got a list of 15 potentials, plus four guys called Dave to interview today...

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread about accidentally using Jodie-speak in real life. A lovely but rather earnest friend of mine during a bit of piddly conversation at the weekend whilst discussing the state of my non existent love life uttered the phrase "perhaps you're too much of a strong independent woman for them, queenie".

I nearly had to call the paramedics I laughed so hard!

Oh yes, because if they hadn't been leather she sure of hell would have made sure we know, but strangley, there's no mention

*Go on Jodie, make a point of mentioning how they're not leather in your next blog - I dare you ;) *

I for one would like to know why Jodie who, supports animal rights so passionately drives a gas guzzler?

These vehicles have a much higher impact on the environment than driving other passenger cars. Global Warming anyone? how will that help the animals, that she desperately wants to defend?

The truck's got to have at least a 3.0 litre engine, why would you need one of those in Essex?

Because god forbid she should go out the door and the vile jellus bullies/stalkers/fans/potential husbands/ungrateful human beings not notice her...

Imagine the horror of having to drive/walk/skip hop/run anonymously down the street!

(please note that it didn't take me four attemps and spellcheck to be able to spell anonymously.)
