Sorry for the second thread (expect a lot more as I am moving house and evidently clueless despite having moved a good few times??)
Are there any kind of devices - barrier type - for low windows?
I have had a quick Google and can find catches / locks etc but nothing that is an actual barrier.
I have in my head what I am after but now thinking I have made them up (may have to take them on Dragons Den if they really don't exist)
TIA

Both (although there are already things on the window so you can only open it a few inches.
What I have in my mind are like wooden slats that fit across the bottom of the window?
Sure I have seen them somewhere but Google tells me I am imagining it.
Something like this maybe? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/301231521411?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&ops=true&viphx=1&hlpht=true&lpid=108&chn=ps&device=t&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0-L&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=108

Difficult to believe people actually used these! Imagine it nowadays.:o
Window Mesh Guard
or Security Bars
or even something specialised from the likes of this company although the pdf doesn't seem to work so it may not be current.
Oh or this one that seem to sell the same thing.
