My point exactly. Go out and do something. But every spring and summer when we get a bank holiday we get moans on here about why the TV companies aren't bothering putting a "Bond film on" etc etc...

At least on this Early May Bank Holiday BBC2 always has the snooker which is totally different.

As for this early May Bank Holiday, it has always felt weird because when you were at School/College you only got the one day off, or at a residential college I went to, you just carried on as normal.

That is because MArgaret Thatcher did not approve of a socialist "May Day" Holiday!

The tv will be great round my house on bank holiday. Mainly because I don't watch broadcast tv. I'll be watching exactly what I want to.

If you want a thread about how crap TV is, just start one about a month before christmas, as soon as "summer" starts (i.e. when the rain warms up) and at about 6 p.m. every friday, through the weekend.

We're long past the days when crap TV was the exception. These days there seem to be only a couple of periods through the year when there's anything worthwhile: the spring "season" after christmas for a few months and autumn.

If only we could buy month-by-month or weekly TV licences :( for the times when it's worth watching.

The same tedious quiz shows that never have a break, the soaps, property shows, some reality show somewhere, same as most other days of the year. Thankfully it's warming up a bit here so I can go out and avoid Bradley False and the joys of Eastenders.

Go to the pub like I'm doing later, or listen to the radio.
