I think they've shown it on BBC America but not here as yet.
People are speculating that it'll be shown as part of BBC1's Christmas line up.
It was originally commissioned for Halloween, not sure why they pushed it back, I was starting to wonder if they were saving it for Christmas.
I saw an interview with James Herbert a couple of months ago when he published his latest book, Ash, and he was asked about it and he confirmed then it was scheduled to be shown over Halloween.
Seems daft to me to commission a ghost story for Halloween and then not show it!!
He also said that the reason it has been rescheduled is due to similarities in the storyline with the recent disappearance of April Jones.
Having read the book there is child abuse involved so I imagine with whats going on with the Savile Scandal they have delayed it a little
Wouldn't a spoiler have been useful there? Unless it's clear from the beginning, it's usually the 'surprise' explanation. Which unfortunately has now become a cliche.
Having also read the book, plus all his others as he is one of my favourite authors, it is very evident pretty much from the beginning of the story.
James Herbert's Facebook page, James Herbert Author, have just added the following...
Me too...One of my favourite JH books.
Figures. It was trailed about 6 weeks ago so you would have expected it to start soon after that, but there was no sign of it
Do I take it there's a child and a grandfather as part of the cast list? Always a bit of a giveaway that.
Yes - will have to iplayer it afterwards because it clashes with Homeland.
