Freesat should be adding more channels not removing them:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

    Ocean tv
    Movies 4 men 2/+1
    Wedding TV

    What next channel 4 hd?

Still won't make me go pay for tv :D:D:D

You call the removal of three channels a ridiculous amount?

Thanks! Thought we'd lost another channel.

Odd though... I don't ever remember losing the signal before with a transponder move. Just had the 'No Information Available' message but could still view the channel itself!

If vintage tv had been removed boxes would have been on there was back to store!

Would be an utter disaster if the best music channel gets took off

    Which box ?

Humax Foxsat HDR I think - there doesnt seem to be anything there I want to watch though - its either multiple versions of BBC1, 2, ITV or C4, other things Freesat already has, or "Scrambled or not available" channels if something looks interesting (Comedy Central), or when something comes on its only for about 1 hour at time (or 2 shows) then goes off again
    :)

Totally agree! Even though I did watch M4M2 on the odd occasion for their comedies, sci-fi, and horror, I can live without it.

Vintage tv on the other hand, I do watch a lot more. And I'd seriously reconsider Freesat if it was removed. Though... CBS Action and Horror Channel are my two favourite channels outside of the terrestrial and their digital channels, so they would be the only things keeping me from binning my Freesat box.

Vintage Tv a little gem :) Just glad it changed transponder and not removed from the epg.

There are so many little channels now that there are some I haven't even found yet and a great many I would never think of watching whether I've found them or not.

Whilst I would never suggest that only what I want should be kept, TV has to be selective to your own personal tastes now as there is just too much to cope with.

Very specialist TV like the Wedding Channel is hardly general entertainment that everyone is going to miss, is it?

I scan the EPG and if something new takes my fancy I give it a go. If I like it, it gets added to my favourites selection, if not, it doesn't and get forgotten about.

All decent Freesat boxes handle new/moved/removed channels automatically and silently.

The Humax used to nag the user at power on every time there was any change, but thankfully they removed the nag screens in a software update a while back.

    Cheers,
    David.

Actually I didn't mind the nag screen because then I was aware that something had changed. Though I acknowledge the convenience of the box automatically doing the changes, what I don't like is a channel just disappearing without a bye or leave.

Thanks to the freesat change thread and Barry (MyHumax) who keeps a Foxsat on V1.00.13 we get to know what's changed.

Well I completely disagree. If they'd taken, say, ten channels, now that would be a ridiculous amount. That's actually how many channels (about) I thought you were going to say.

No because adult channels I erase anyway there a rip off.

I will correct myself: 1 is one too many unless its an adult channel

I think all satalite platforms loose channels FREESAT is no different to sky the good thing with FREESAT is you can delete any channel you do not want on your epg

Dont think wedding tv is coming back as the website now only mentions sky.

Freesat still mentions it as one of their channels on their site.

yet again, the also mention the following channels...
