In my quest for creativity software I wanted to get a Moog emulator (but failed to find one that doesn't get all technical). What I also wanted was one of those 3q5lu 80s portable Casio keyboard emulators (for retro purposes). I'v got some music software that has built in keyboards but what are oculators and what do they do exactly?
I know resonators're something to do with echos.

What I wanted was a moog (it was a srt of keyboard used in the 70s to do the theme for A Clockwork Orange and the music for Close Encounters of The Third Kind and they might have been used by Vangelis for Blade Runner).
Anybody remember those old portable keyboards made by Casio in the early 80s?
I also wanted an emulator for one of them but my searches lead me to the software I'm using now.
Are you sure you don't mean oscillator? Which is a frequency(tone) generator.
Thanks.
But PROPER music software used by serious/professional musicians costs over a hyndred quid (six hundred at the most).

That one's faulty though.
Ever thought of trying Linux? I ask because there's a whole range of synthesiser emulators available (free) including six Moogs! But it's only available for Linux and may not be as easy to use as MS Windows software. Here's the site, just to show what you could have, for a bit (or perhaps a lot) of effort and no money:
Bristol Audio Synthesis.
Then there's an online synth I just found, which might be just what you need:

I really wish I understood your question

You'll be looking for software that emulates modular synthesis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modular_synthesizer
You create a basic sound from an oscillator or tone generator and add other modules to shape the sound for the desired effect.
Are these the Casio keyboards you are referring to?

But then again, Magix Music Maker 2014 had a good built in keyboard with shitloads of effects/options/styles.
Are you trying to make me feel feint?:o:o:o:o:o
Just had a quick look at the website and I'm glad I'm using this software http://www.xara.com/us/magix/music-maker/and aren't a serious/professional musician
