I have loved baked beans all my life. But lately I am finding some brands virtually unedible!

The only ones i like at the moment are Tescos own brand.

I only like the Branston ones if that's any help. HP and Heinz ones are too watery.

Waitrose have nice organic ones that are cheaper than the branded cans, best I've had so far. Co-op also have good ones.

    No they aint.

I only eat branston beans as the sauce is thick. Heinz are as bad as the cheap smart price brands because the sauce is like water.

Thumbs up for Branston, if only they had a ring pull like the Heinze. Also if too watery just push the lid (after opening) down to force out the extra liquid.

They are, stick some beans on a plate and I can't tell what they are, I'll just eat them and enjoy. Never not enjoyed any baked beans.

Aren't they full of sugar? I don't really buy them because I have the perception of them that they are unhealthy and contain lots of sugar.

I've tried other brands but always go back to Heinz.

I can easily taste out the Branston ones but the rest are equally crap.

Tesco value ones are lovely I prefer a thinner sauce and these have it just right.

Here on Rhodes Heinz are very expensive as they are obviously imported
Having said that we buy an Italian brand which are about a 3rd the price of Heinz

Lidl are the worst, too sugary, Asda low salt/sugar ones are vile as well, they taste of saccharin.

I like the ultra cheapo versions, Heinz ones and homemade. Homemade are a bit too thick to bung on a jacket potato, but lovely on toast.

I prefer the Tesco ones, I very rarely buy any others.

Oh and just in case anyone decided to try and be healthy NEVER buy the Weight Watchers ones. I love loads of the WW stuff but the baked beans were vile.
