I have been forgetting lots of shows lately. Too much on all at once i want to watch. Yesterday at 9 there were about 4 or 5 programs i wanted to watch
Even though it was only on screen for two seconds and had one sentence said about it, I never really would have thought that I'd have ever seen anything related to the Touhou series on British TV. That was a fun surprise.
Seeing both AVGN and Yahtzee mentioned here is kind of surreal.
I'll throw in a few sugesstions for ones releated to tonight's program in case anybody actually feels like checking them out: "Atari Porn" includes Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em from the show, and it's siblings. "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" is a video-based game like Night Trap, and is quite hard to describe- other than after seeing what it's like, you'll wonder why the other game had the honour of having a little media festival.
Watched Gameswipe and it was great in a geeky way. Although I liked and mostly agreed with what was said, I did think the Consolevania guys were a bit dismissive towards modern games.
I thought the news reports about certain videogames and game playing in general were a bit OTT, I doubt any of the people who report or moan about games not indended for children have ever played these games.
All the fuss some of those games caused. Mortal Kombat and particularly Mortal Kombat II caused an uproar when they were released. People have been playing GTA games now for 12 years, by now surely we should have all jacked a car or 2, shot somebody in the face and mowed down a group of Hare Krishnas??
So funny and Dara O'Brien is crap at playing GTA IV. LOL!
Yeah who the hell plays GTA 4 and actually drives at the same speed as the other cars in the game? You just plough through with a suped up sports car like most people do and shoot at the slow pokes!
I do get what he means though, if you pay for a game you don't expect the content on later levels to be locked out, but then I suppose the people who can't get at that content are crap and gaming anyway!
Those two Scottish (or were they Irish?) guys talking about the good old days of gaming were right! British games were awesome and they were right on the button about Jet Set Willy! "Ah nobody will get this far in the game!" LOL
Charlie needs to do a full series of this, as it was a one off!

I did like Dara's observation that no other medium makes you pay for a product and then doesnt let you see all of it. I've got many games where i got stuck at a certain point and never went back to them, thus "wasting" half a game

Forgotten about this. Thanks for the heads up! Other half has control of the TV, so might try to catch this on Beebplayer.
Recoding the later repeat.
Was just going to post something very similar! It was so funny.

Good show.
3D Monster Maze!!!
Showing my age if I can remember the ZX81
I loved that show. Brooker back to his best once again.
He should stick to this format, rather then his last big attempt.

This was the first time I found Dara OB in any way amusing, he was funny tonight

Watch it now in case the BBC force YouTube to remove it.
