Does Carol Vorderman really warrant front page news in the Daily Mail? "My grief over Whiteley is still so raw, says Carol".

Oh sorry, they're serialising her autobiography.

Serves me right for buying the DM I suppose.

    Silly woman.

She loves wheeling out this 'grief' whenever she has something to sell.

Self-pitying, desperate old bit of mutton. The work hasn't come flooding in the way she expected since the Countdown gravy train came to an end, so she's reduced to peddling this sob story in the most undignified way. Have some self-respect woman.

I had the misfortune to read this while I was in the dentist's waiting room this morning. Her gurning face looming out of the front cover lured me in in a most peculiar way, like a fly to cow excrement. Needless to say that once I started reading the article, I didn't last long. The idea of getting a filling suddenly became much more appealing and I couldn't get in the chair quick enough when I was called through.

I saw this article too, and thought it was poor taste on her part.
She speaks about Richard Whitely as though it was her lover she lost, which I found a bit disrespectful to his long term partner.
Whose to say that Kathy wanted the details of Richard's last days made public?

IIRC she's always made a great play of her friendship with Kathy. I just wish she'd stop going on about Richard.

People lose close relatives and don't bang on about their loss all the time the way that she does - it seems she brings up her personal 'loss' of Richard at least once a year.

Yes, she says once again in the article that Kathy is a great friend of hers - yet she heard of Richard's death from the show's producer.
I might be being unfair though as chances are the poor woman was too upset to call Vorderman herself.
I just never think Carol Vorderman seems very sincere in anything she says or does, so I am a bit cynical when she keeps harping on about her grief.

She is good with numbers though. For most of the time that she's been a celeb she's been younger than me and now as if by magic she is older than me. I wish she'd bog off to some desert island and take Fiona Philips with her. Just when I thought I'd seen the last of the pair of them they have both reappeared.

You forget that celebrities are special people and that their grief is two or three hundred times worse than anyone elses. Cilla Black is the perfect example of this, going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about the death of her belovedbobby. And the death doesn't even have to be in the family. Cillas son was in an accident where a motorcyclist died. She gave an interview a year later about how tough it had been for her, no mention of the dead mans family. Same planet, different rules.

Hate the DM, but had a quick flick through it at my Mum's as she was moaning about the article.

Agree with what everyone has said, couldn't believe what I was reading - such a drama queen:rolleyes:. It does seem as though she brings Richard's death up whenever she's been out of the papers for a while or she's got something to promote. Can't stand her or her other half Des Kelly.

:eek:She never ceases to amaze me:

Even a simple innocuous interview ends up with her bleeting on about something she is involved in plugging which is to irrelevant to why she is there.

This strange obsession in claiming she has retained her looks without any 'help' - she is worse than Lulu and just as irritating.

Vorderman believes her own publicity and feels that she is a national treasure that must inflict her pointless opinions on us all, even up to governmental stature

Sorry Vordie, we are sick of you, passed your sell-by date and Rachel Riley is 110% more appealling and sexier with an incredible eau derriere that is far more superior to yours :D

In her foreword to ''Richard by Kathryn'' (Virgin Books) Carol Vorderman writes:

''I never saw Richard in hospital.I sent him cards and trinkets and I hope he knew how much I loved him.I believe (Richard) was far more important in my life than I ever was in his but that didn't matter. It was a joy to know him and a privilege to have been so close to him''

Says it all really and sums up her cheesy insincerity and non-genuiness - pass the sickbag

    She's got a watery bottom!?!!!:D

I agree about Vorderman, very bad taste to write as though Richard was her partner and all about her pain and her suffering. I've lost workmates before, I expect many of us have, but however upsetting it has been I wouldn't dream of talking about them like this. Anyway, by her own admition, they didn't socialise between filming.

I've never been able to abide this woman since she did those adverts that went something like 'consolidate your loans into ONE MASSIVE LOAN'. Preying on vulnerable people who were probably impressed because she could add up!

Her Kumon maths lessons were a massive money-grabbing waste too!

I remember that one with the Kumon maths lessons - she turned up everywhere plugging that one.

So lets see what she has plugged:

    Benecol
    The crap maths lessons
    A book
    Loans
    A fitness DVD

    What else

And what programmes has she been giving words and thoughts of her wisdom on:

We will give that one a miss, we will be her until February 2015 at the earliest.

The start of the SuDoku 'craze' - any book on it seemed to have her on the cover or her name on it somewhere.

Add to that Farmfoods, diet/cellulite plans, her autobiography (bargain bucket before too long I suspect), some kind of overseas property thing.

We've probably only remembered half of what she's flogged over the years.

And how touching that she never visited Richard in hospital (he was in hospital for ages). Says it all really.

Maybe Cameron didn't give her the government post she was angling for; Maths Tsar, perhaps;)
