It proves the point that most Socialists are really Conservatives because they have no principles.

As soon as they obtain money they want the Tories to look after it for them. Their Socialist principles go out of the window when they realise the Labour want to redistribute it.

Well said this is so true.

Er, this case doesn't prove anything whatsoever about "most Socialists".

    Okay.

So what about those socialists and liberals who DO have principles when they become financially comfortable?

Answer: The Right deride them as champagne socialist, liberal, 'metropolitan elitists'.

So you are correct, many on the Left have been found to be sorely wanting when it comes to their liberal sensibilities when they actually find that they will have to back that up with some clout financially.

However let's not pretend that many on the Right do not have a massive hypocritical streak running right through them.

Then you must have a very odd view of what "proof" entails!

I don't know if anything in the newspapers is true or whether it's all spin, but each time a wealthy individual comes out against Labour then Labour benefit form that attack.

Especially if said wealthy individual is involved in a tax avoidance scheme.

Interesting, but that was a study of lottery winners rather than Socialists!

Then do a study of current and former socialists and post it on here for us all to see.

If the worst the Daily Fail can do to attack Labour is a couple of rich celebrities not voting for them, it shows how desperate or lazy they are. Can think of plenty of good reason to not vote for Labour and funny enough, PJ and Duncan not voting for them dosen't feature anywhere on my list.

Why should I? It's not me who's trying to prove something!

You said "it isn't" so prove your statement.

You misunderstand. I was simply saying that this case does not prove that "most Socialists are really Conservatives because they have no principles". Sorry for any confusion.

OH NOOOO, devastating news hold the front page, quick forget about dodgy Dave and the millions of pounds that was owed by very rich people to the treasury.

2 celebrities two multi millionaire celebrities have decided that the next Labour government might be a bit less 'Tory lite' so in order to protect their personal wealth they are switching to the 'proper' Tory party.

Well I dunno about anyone else who was going to vote Labour but for me that is the last straw, (probably the same straw being clutched at by the Tory press) we have had bacon sarnie gate which had me doubting my left of centre views, and the there was pink bus gate, which had me running around the house punching the walls in sheer fury, and NOW we have over paid Geordie 'comedian' gate, well I for one can take no more, I too will be voting for the beloved leader on polling day, one can only take so much.

in other breaking news, the pope confirms the rumours that he is indeed a catholic, a bear has been seen taking a dump in the woods, and Elvis is still dead.

To be fair, they haven't actually said that. We don't know who they will vote for, or if they will vote at all. But I agree that it's a great big fuss about nothing!

Yip apparently if you are rich and a socialist you are a "champagne socialist" or a member of the "metropolitan elite" and sneered at by the Tories, if you are a former supporter of the left who is very wealthy who saps sides then you are 'proof' that socialists have no principles and are sneered at by the Tories.

oh and everyone who supports the left does so because they "hate the rich because they are jealous of them"

here you go, sneering at rich members of the Labour party.

'They' just can't let any straw go by without clutching in desperation at it though, be it a couple of wealthy comedians, or a bacon buttie or a pink bus. I am almost embarrassed for them.

Hum, so even Ant & Dec are opposed to Ed . . . . . . . . . nope, I'm still on the fence. Now if Noel Gallagher comes out against him that might be enough to sway my vote.

Ahh, it's happened already. That's it, i'm definitely done with Labour.

Unless Paddy McGuinness comes out in support. That would be enough to win me back.
