    For goodness sake.

Why on earth were the USA 1/4 on to win that race with the bookies when Jamaica had four individual finalists in their team? I've lost a lot of money on that and I'm not very happy about it. Where did the 1/4 price come from? Ridiculous.

Wow even up to last 50m I thought USA would get that, impressive from Jamaica and fab bronze for GB well done.

Onuora, Child and Bundy-Davies were all high 50s, which isn't bad.

Ohuruogu surely was quicker than 51.1 on the first leg, right?!

    What a race that was.

    47.7 from Felix is amazing.

They would have been better with Felix on the first leg - put them into the lead and then it puts pressure on the Jamaicans

47.7 for Felix. Amazing. She misses out on a 10th gold at the WC's.
1 1/2 seconds off her individual time :o:confused:.

Reminded me a bit of the old classic 1991 4x400 mens relay that with Akabusi sat on the shoulder on the final bend powering past upsetting the odds.

Felix should have been on the last leg. They would have won.

I suspect 51.1 is right. Ohuruogu had the standing start, and she didn't seem to be tearing up her rivals on the track.

After the numerous low-2.40s last season, there's a shootout in the mid-2.30s?! The shocks just keep coming.

    That flying 49.43 in 2013 seems to be a one-off, then. :|

Oh well, they still won bronze.

So is this the first person to clear it or do you get 3 goes regardless if someone does it first time?

Yes its quite peculiar how such a devastating leg can backfire-arguably Felix should have stayed just behind because the final USA runner was always there to be shot at.

Do they continue until they can split all three medals or are they just looking for a clear winner and would be willing to have joint silver medallists?

Everyone gets a chance, there must a clear winner, but silver can be shared.
