Now, i would love a mac, iv always thought there far to expensive (well i still do) as i know you can get other laptops that do the same to be honest, but im just wondering, i want to know a few things.
1. is there anywhere i can get one cheaper, (eg refurbished etc).
3. is there anything i can do i cant on a normal laptop ?
4. what apps can i get? i know theres some for macs what are they ?
5.whats the best thing about them lol?
basically just wanting more info and everytime i read up i get bombarded with too much information and get confused. i know ill get haters saying dont bother with one get a normal microsoft but i dont want to listen to it all !
thanks

I cant think of anything you cant do on a normal laptop. You can even run OSX on a "normal" laptopl as you put it.
Its mainly the hardware thats different and the installed OSX tbh.
Go into a shop and play with OSX for yourself to see if you like it. Its got a lot of "quirks".
But once you get beyond those there is really very little you can't do with a Mac that you could do with Windows. Unless you use some really specialised software then pretty much whatever you used in Windows has either a Mac version or something that does the same job.
Seriously, the best way is to go and play on it. Its the only way in fact. otherwise its a very expensive mistake if you dont like it.
If you want to see osx now, look on youtube.
Mac used to be dominant in the design section of the market, but now there are suitable applications for Windows, so the competition is even imo.
A Mac is down to personal preference. Personally, I cannot justify spending double the price on a computer, of which a half the price Windows laptop can do the majority of the work.
You will if you stick an Apple sticker on I did that with my old Windows laptop to make people think I had a Mac... sadly the disguise didn't work Now I have the real thing it means I can sit there with a big on my face!
No. There's nothing one can't do that the other can't. The only difference is how they achieve it. You could think of it as analogous to a journey. It's not about the destination, but how you get there. Mac users see the Mac as the scenic route.
That they're a viable alternative to Windows PCs for those who prefer them.
I see it as the Light Side I want to be buried with my MBP I love it that much
