As soon as I saw it I thought 'the SS symbol combined with a Nazi swastika'. And judging from the comments, I'm not alone.

Totalitarian tennis is a thing now?
Oooh....when I first saw it on the Guardian landing page I thought the article was going to be about a new far right group. It sort of looks a bit, well...aryan?

Hahah
BTW yes it does look a hell of a lot like the SS death squad badge. Andy if you win this year just be very careful how you wave to the queen. Oh tho actually she is german so maybe you will get away with it.

As for the Andy Murray logo, yes it does look like it could be on the side of a Luftwaffe squadron plane.
It has that jagged italic look that is the rage with unashamed fascists. And now that you mention it, 77 is only 11 away from 88 :kitty:
Did he pay for that?
In fact he's a bit late in getting a Merchandising tag. Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, Roddick and both Williams sisters have done it before him.
There again, the concept is not new. Fred Perry had/has one
Ah but his fiancé can get nice frocks courtesy of old spice to wear at Wimbledon. It's win win really. She gets a free frock, old spice gets free publicity and tickets to the final where she can preen and pose and look bored till her hearts content.
