Sorry swirl!!...but i'd rather go around with a tampon shoved up my backdoor for a few days a month than having to shave my boat race all the time!!

Good luck in your experiment, but it really will not be the same!
Mooncups are fine. They are made from medical grade silicone. They don't harbour germs (unlike tampons which can as they're made of fabric) and if you read one of the recent posts on menstrual_cups on livejournal, you'll see one girl had her doc swab it and send it to be tested after keeping it in her pocket and there was nothing harmful on it!
They don't cause TSS.
They don't destroy the natural environment of the vagina as tampons do.
They last longer so are better for the environment.
And they save you money!
If I don't have a bottle of water in my bag when I'm in a public loo, I just wipe it down and put it back in.
You do know that tampons aren't sterile, don't you? So there are germs all over them when you put one in? No difference with a mooncup except they tend to be your own germs til you sterilise it each month

That's it, I'm too curious now, I think you've convinced me. I shall order one.
I really dont like them. i had one where the string broke once and I thought I was going to have to go to A&E to get it out. Luckily I managed to bear down enough then pull it out but no way am I ever getting them again. I liked them before that.

That wouldn't be a good idea...the rectum doesn't have the same level of natural lubricant as the vagina, and the absorbence of a tampon is liable to dry yours out and cause severe irritation.
It will also make it very uncomfortable to remove.
This has been quite entertaining reading real life i.e reality,
if they can pay out illions for the crap shown, how much would they pay for a 6 show series based on this and similar taboo subjects,, good luck to those ladies who are seeking enlightenment, but I still want the directors cut!

Isn't that the chocolates that have the crisp coating around them? Oh, that's minstrels
I hope to God for your own sake that you do not take part in any form of sexual activity that involves said tampon being unearthed!

I come singing praise for Playtex! Tampax are eevil and stupid!!
Tampax expand like a long skinny sausage, even the super dupers!
Playtex expand like a little upside down umbrella, and have a lovely pearl-effect applicator AND are on offer in boots 80% of the time!
I love playtex!

I think you mean vaginismus....vaginitis is an inflammation.

They sound fab.

Nevermind, I just caught up with the postings. Lord have mercy, I've not laughed this hard in a while.!
My own first tampon experience....it got stuck! I panicked and nearly passed out while having hysterics.
