Thank you very much Terrence my first ever victory in any sports competition. I'm delighted. Well done everybody else in particular to JBO who pushed me very close. At least I can take my fingernails out my mouth now
First up a reminder that the points awarded on finals night were:
Semis: 3 for the correct winner, 5 for a max
Final: 4 and 7 respectively
Not that that mattered too much because only Benson & Davethecue maxed MVG winning in a decider against Gando, and only Matt & Pacha maxed Barney’s 8-5 triumph over Taylor
As regards the final, Dave, Naitch & Will tipped Barney to defeat MVG, but nobody had the 10-6 spot on.
So, as advised last night, congratulations once again to Neil Watson on becoming DS Premier League prediction champion 2014! Neil was third by week 6 and then in the top 2 until the end, so a very consistent performance. Unlucky to JBO on just falling short, but again an excellent campaign from him resulted in a highly meritorious runners up spot.
Incidentally, that's nine different winners in nine years now (or eight if you exlude the intial sweepstake season ).
Which remains for me only to thank everybody for playing and sticking with it, especially as these days it goes on even longer than yesteryear. Cheers!
